ALONE IN THE DARK

A song about left and right, light and dark, good and bad. When you're cruising through life in the middle somewhere, something will eventuate to tip it left or right, to the light or dark, etc; sometimes several times a day...just roll with it...it ain't going to change...

The clinking sound you hear at the intro, middle and outro is me tapping an empty coffee glass with a plastic pen. Whilst I was listening to a playback of the song, I tapped along with the track's intro. I still had the mic on so heard it through the headphones and thought it sounded good; so I recorded it and placed it in the song.

Cyberia is a song I wrote about a « crazy » friend of mine who took a sabbatical leave to make a traversal from Nice to Pékin with its sole bicycle, so something like 15.000 kms, 25 countries, etc… This man is mad I tell you. Unfortunately, while travelling through the heart of Siberia,  at the « U Very Kafé » where he stopped to eat something after a hard cycling journey, a dog ( an American Bulldog) bit him violently at the calf while he was searching for a WC.
So he was forced to stop before reaching Pekin, and go back to France to heal its leg. But, and this is not surprising when knowing the man, after he was back to good shape, he came back by train to the "U Very Kafé" as a starting point and finished with its bicycle its trip to Pekin.

Thanks to my friend Dirk (The Gatsbys) for lending his fantastic warm
voice that fits so well with the song.
