It couldn’t be anyone else really as the duo’s participation is bigger than anyone else on the label with 4 EPs and over 20 released songs.

Piano strokes greet us as we set off. Rolling drums enrich our ear holes and suddenly the fanfare kicks in. 'Without A Light' without a doubt a perfect introduction to what’s to come.

It's a milestone moment for an artist whose output has matured, marinated and developed for over a decade to a natural pinaccle.

M-zine represents everything we love at Sofa Sound and the album is layered with warm textures and organic tones to form a rich body of work with great depth that rewards both your patience and your sound system.

With influences rooted in dub, techno, funk and soul, M-zine embraces the lost art of simplicity and is focused on getting the most out of just 4 or 5 core elements so everything works together nicely in the mix.

Written mostly during covid; clubs were closed, but M-zine had his rig at home and used the isolation to craft his own little soundscape; something pure and introspective, nice and simple.

Its subtle, meditative and Sofa Sound through and through - a warm collection of tracks for you to appreciate.

I have decided to take a more active stand against racism! I have lived in a bubble for a long time where there were never any racist intentions, and I have never directly encountered racism. But I realized what everyday racism actually means... Even though I never had the intention to be racist, racist interactions or expressions have happened to everyone. Everybody should be aware of what everyday racism means! In my opinion not only the extreme fringe groups like the right-wing scene are the problem, its more the subliminal racism in everyday racism. I would like to use my reach and make a small change with my music and draw attention to this problem. All income from this song will be donated to ISD!
