그 결과 Cafe Tape 라는 멋진 아지트도 생겼고, OFFTHE 스튜디오도 생겼고, 비앙쿤디판다는 한국대중음악상에 노미네이트 되고, JINBO는 세계로 뻗어가는 K POP 앨범들에 힘을 실었고, KRNB2 앨범은 한국가요의 과거와 미래를 연결하며 중요한 아티스트들과 계속 함께하고 있고, 뷰디는 비트장인/카세트테잎 도사가 되어 미국에서 러브콜을 받았으며, 사일리는 The Light 앨범과 COCOFLA(Q The Trumpet 과의 듀오) 활동 그리고 Haansol Rim이 감독한 뮤직비디오로 본인이 와르도-와이도 레벨임을 보여줬고, 다울은 클럽 소프의 명실상부한 스타로서 여성(관객)의 마음을 (음악으로) 매주 훔쳐대고 있어!! 특별히, 두명의 새로운 목소리가 이번 믹스테잎에 등장!

대학생(원자력공학과)인 시크릿맨은 (이름만 시크릿일 뿐 본인은 비밀을 못 지킨다고…) 자칫 최신의 음악에만 집중하는 듯 할 수 있는 수퍼프릭의 방향에 ‘70년대 소울’의 감성과 한국적 낭만을 불어넣었어. 마치 옛날 소울샘플을 따온 듯 굉장히 따뜻한 꿈 같은 목소리로 뷰디의 트랙 위에 노래한 “Flyingoversummerland” 는 필청 트랙. 

한편, 버클리음대 휴학생인 다희는 자칫 국내파로만 이뤄질 뻔한 그리고 남자로만 이뤄질 뻔한 수퍼프릭을 구원해준 소중한 멤버로서 ‘지금 시대의 목소리’로 “Good Morning” 을 불렀어. 다이아몬드처럼 빛나는 다희의 참신한 목소리에 빠져봐. 
두 곡 모두 뷰티풀 디스코의 비트이고 이번 믹스테잎의 아웃트로 역시 뷰디가 장식했다.

2/9에 열리는 파티가 뷰디의 [Heavy Rotation] 과 VIANN X KHUNDIPANDA [재건축] 의 대결(!) 구도인 것 처럼 이번 프릭테잎에서도 뷰디와 비앙의 흔적들이 진하게 깔려있는데, 비앙은 [재건축]에 수록되지 않은 비앙쿤디판다의 곡을 전격 공개! 쿤디판다의 랩은 이제 한 벌스 한 벌스 나올 때마다 꼭 확인해야만 하는 것이 되어가고 있는데, 이번 곡 Bubble 에서도 역시나 활활 타오르는 쿤디판다의 랩을 들어볼 수 있다!

Sailli 역시 비앙쿤디판다의 앨범 [재건축] 수록곡인 Foreignhub.co.kr 을 가지고 리믹스를 했는데, 그 동안 다소 정적인 음악을 보여줬던 것과 비교했을 때 너무나도 컬러풀하고 신선한 느낌으로 나타나서 놀랐다. 단연 1번 트랙!

3번곡은 Daul X Jay 유닛의 곡으로 Lil Kim 의 Crush On You Remix. 물론 리얼 원곡은 Jeff Lorber의 Rain Dance 이지만 Lil Kim 의 버전이 Bad Boy Records의 전성기 사운드와 분위기를 담고 있어서 특별하게 남아있지. 여러 버전의 리믹스가 있지만 수퍼프릭도 좀 멋지게 이 곡의 리믹스를 출시할 필요가 있지 않나? 여성의 마음을 (음악으로) 훔치는 다울의 (음악적) 손길을 느껴보자!

4번곡은 JINBO 자신이 참여한 비앙쿤디판다의 ‘이사’를 JINBO 자신이 리믹스 했다. ‘이사’ 뮤직비디오를 찍지 못한 아쉬움이 있었던 것인지 이 곡을 굳이 사일리로부터 뺏어와서 리믹스를 했다. 뭔가 사일리의 곡과 비슷한 색채와 사운드를 담은 듯하여 재미있다. 운명의 장난 같이…

7번곡은 비앙이 이번 파티 자신의 라이벌인 뷰디의 곡을 리믹스했다. 이런 비트위의 승부사 같으니...TAPE를 운영하는 중에 언제 이렇게 음악을 만들어대는지 신기할 뿐이다. 이 글을 읽는 여러분 우리 TAPE에서 자주 마주칩시다 :)
