Mix 186 is a special one brought to us by one of South Africa's finest poets, DJs and artist Lazarusman aka Lazarus Mathebula. He's been hypnotizing dancefloors for almost a decade with his silky smooth spoken word poems beautifully woven into the tracks by some of top names in the electronic scene including Stimming, Kaldera, Chopstick & Jonjon, Xinobi, Dilby & DJ T. 

His recent Spotify hit Oceans of My Mind with Kaldera released on HMWL has racked over 2 millions streams on Spotify mainly driven by the loungy remix by Urmet K as well as remixes by SURAJ, Simina Grigoriu and Moe Danger. For the over a decade The Lazarusman has been spreading mixing spoken word with electronic music and infecting dance floors with his unique lyrics and take on poetry. Having collaborated with a slew of international artists like, Stimming, Florian Kruse, Tigerskin, Hyenah, DJ. T, Phonique and appearances on labels like Get Physical, Diynamic, HMWL, Moon Harbour, Rebellion, Freerange, Noir Music and many more. The Lazarusman has solidify his status as one of the most influential people in dance music right now.

His solo live performances fuse the current mood of any dance floor as well as a consideration of the past, present and future elements of deep house, techno, disco and house. It’s an idiosyncratic approach to DJing and performing spoken word, with regular appearances in Moscow, Lisbon, Zurich, Berlin and Hamburg proof of the effectiveness of this one of way of delivering performance.
