Longstanding Spanish talent Dennis Cruz achieves a career milestone this October with the release of his debut album, Roots. The ten-track LP draws inspiration from Cruz’s life experiences, resulting in a body of work that encapsulates the sounds and musical styles that have led him to where he is today.

Dennis spoke on what this moment represents, stating: "I wanted to work on a broader project, the cornerstone of my artist career, and this is what Roots is. The album is a convergence of influences taken from music that I've been listening to all my life, from funk, salsa, and flamenco to house and disco. I am so happy this project could finally come to life. I want to thank the several friends and artists that worked on it with me; Damian Lazarus for believing in it from the beginning and helping it reach the world on Crosstown Rebels." - Dennis Cruz.

The final collaborative offering with Iuliano Mambo takes us on a journey through punchy percussion and swinging synth build ups, rounding off an eclectic body of work that looks set to light up dancefloors across the world this year.

Roots showcases the many facets of Dennis Cruz’s production capabilities. The album embodies the life experiences that have defined his career; the moments of progression and elation, from fresh-faced up-and-comer to established musical presence. At the heart of the LP lies an inherent Spanish theme - a nod to the country and culture that Dennis calls home. It’s playful, joyful and built to make people dance, three traits personify this talented producer today.

Markus Homm joins Hive Audio. Originally hailing from Romania and now based in Germany the new addition to our roster has defo left a mark on the scene over the course of more than a decade with  releases put on the circuit via prolific labels like Highgrade Records, Ostwind, 8bit, Bedrock, Poker Flat Recordings and many more. With his label debut named „My Lead EP“ the ever active producer is presenting a new serving of three fresh tracks accompanied by a remix crafted by Dario D'Attis, all carefully prepared for massive dancefloor impact.

The title track „My Lead“ represents the value of Markus Homm's production skills to the fullest, starting out on a fever'ish late night vibe that's transformed and levelled up to pumping, uplifting territories by distinct hi-hats and a multilayered synth motif slowly injecting more and more joyful dancefloor ecstasy into ever heaving crowds. Excellent stuff on the brink between raw House and TechHouse.

On remix duties for „My Lead“ is our man Dario D'Attis who's adding a well muscular pump and highly seductive groove to the vibe of the original tune whilst scintillating atmospheres, additional percussions and a slightly dubbed out feel steer the track straight to the peak of every high quality House set for a reason.

With „EXO“ we see Markus Homm presenting a perfectly sculpted take on contemporary TechHouse, bringing forth a warm, all embracing low end figure alongside a spatial, and potentially space themed, overall feel as a foundation for cascading pads and shimmering melodies of a beauteous, timeless, yet fully hypnotic and fascinating nature alongside microcut vocal samples.

Finally the concluding cut „Discovery“ brings forth more of Markus Homm's trademark groove works paired with classic soft, slightly dubby and yet well distinguishable stabs sitting atop a thought out percussion arrangement leaving enough room for rising, large scale string waves and intricate melodic powerplay that's about to make every punter smile brightly whenever this tune comes on.

Parisian-born Salomé Le Chat makes a much-anticipated debut on Rebellion with ​One + One,​ a beautiful two-track release that features an exquisite remix by one-third of Mandar, S.A.M.

Speaking of the release, Salomé described how “One+One is my first EP, so it's very special to me. I made ‘Cruising On The Playa’ for my closest girlfriends, to reflect the special moments we’ve spent together. They are my source of inspiration.”

Label-head ​Damian Lazarus ​praised the Parisian’s hard-working nature, stating “I​ have known Salome for around 15 years. In these years she has been extremely patient; watching, learning and crafting her own art of djing. Having now blossomed into a killer dj, I am so proud to release her debut record as a producer. For me it goes to prove the point, that good things come to those that wait.​”

Beginning with atmospheric chords and softly warming hats, we are soon hit with a pumping kick as ​Cruising On The Playa gets underway. A real dancefloor cut, the addictive vocal hook gives way to a subtle build up, before a driving bassline leads the charge deep into 5 AM territory. On the flip side, S.A.M serves up a minimal-leaning remix that showcases the cosmic sound he’s become best-known for, as trippy pads converge on a slinky underlying groove to form a peak-time, up-tempo number that you can’t help but dance to.

Having played alongside the likes of Black Coffee and label-head Damian Lazarus already this year, ​Salomé Le Chat ​is no stranger to the electronic music sphere. With a string of standout performances already under her belt, ​One + One marks her first-ever EP and sets the tone for her much-awaited future releases. Born in Denmark but based in Germany, ​S.A.M has established himself as a truly respected presence in the house and techno scenes. Heading up three labels in the form of Oscillat Music, Delaphine and Dalia, and making up one-third of house supergroup Mandar, last year saw S.A.M’s ​Furys Laughter reach the Number One spot on Beatport, a testament to his skill for producing the perfect dance-floor ready cut.
