As a label, we believe in going where sound leads, and our search for the bleeding edge of electronic music has once again concluded in the stand-out percussive style bubbling up from the Buenos Aires underground.

‘Meltdown’ by Folgar & Chumbita completes our Argentinian trilogy—at least for now—with an offering of sophisticated, genre-meshing groove and synth work. With complex layers of scintillating lead themes, nuanced sound design, and a voguish sense of weightlessness, Folgar & Chumbita deliver an artfully stripped and eclectic six-tracker with remixes by James Harcourt and Vini Pistori for Kiosk ID no. 033.

‘Small Introspection’ thrives on its namesake micro-shifts and darkly churning synth contortions. An ominous framework of oppressive subs and percussive rustlings open up vast frequency bands for morphing layers of quivering synths and resonators to strobe across a thunderous substructure like bursts of blazing energy across a blackening sky.

A field of throbbing bass patterns, plucky synth themes, and revolving percussion lay the oscillating groundwork for ‘Meltdown.’ A dubby roller that artfully contrasts moments of calm serenity with high-octane theatrics, ‘Meltdown’ discharges a vast, pitch-bending orchestra of
cascading resonators and beautifully intertwining melodics.

Folgar’s solo contribution ‘Sauvé’ unleashes torrents of ethnically-charged percussion, laser-sharp electric sweeps, and salvos of polyrhythmic blips. Threading the needle between choppy, floor-focused monotony and wildly pitching impacts and overtones, ‘Sauvé’ is a
bottled-up storm of arcing energy framed by a powerfully stripped beat.

Anchored by a cavernous kick and a carpet of darkly morphing saws, Chumbita’s ‘The Walk’ conjures a grungy left-field dancefloor seance through a moody, spaced-out guitar theme, mystic vocal chops, and ghostly fields of pads and resonant plucks.

Vini Pistori’s approach electrifies the original with cascading white noise shakers, searing amps, and sizzling snare fills in a choppy and percussive rendition with overwhelming melodics.

James Harcourt transfigures the arcing saws on ‘Meltdown’ into a dystopian transmission of robotic synth salvos, hellish vocal effects, and an anthemic eruption of morphing, arp-crazed energy.

Despite its rhythmic complexity and meticulous sound design, ‘Meltdown’ succeeds in delivering a primal sense of pure dancefloor ecstasy, and it's this that makes Folgar & Chumbita’s vision so compelling: the Argentinian duo delivers a beautiful degree of sophistication without losing sight of their work’s raison d'être—creating powerful, floor-focused anthems that touch the mind and move the body.

The Calling

Serving up hot new joints one after the other, label habitué Fabian Krooss is back with a vengeance this spring. Taking his talents to Kotori again, Krooss takes us on a compellingly poetic ride with 'Time'. An invitation to "remain present with the moment rather than letting your potentially negative thought spirals and judgements distract you from the good stuff right in front of you", this new effort finds the German producer blending his unmatched tune-making with a sixth-sense for manufacturing groovy tracks that hold a life-affirming message.

Built around a sample of T-Bone Walker’s Hypin’ Woman Blues, 'Keep Movin' is slo-burning house on a dreamy tip, mixing a "deep, steady rolling bassline with the lightness of sparkly, floaty and harmonious synthlines on top perfectly capturing the message of the track". The title-track, 'Time' - a collaboration with Auckland/New Zealand based vocalists Mia Kober & DirdyGerdi, is about "acting rather than complaining, about making things better, rather than watching the world go down". Through a chiselled piece of sound design moving from appeasing ethereality to sizzling tension, Krooss has us shifting gears, summoning that deep-seated will in us to regain control over our life, to reclaim our time and inhabit it afresh. For real. For good.

Closing the EP, ‘Pulse’ strips Peve’s distinct style to its revolving core. A mantra of staccato drums and mesmeric bass figures lays the foundation for hovering, wavefolding synths that constantly seem to dissolve and reform. Deep and cyclical, Pulse winds a tight coil of dancefloor energy that draws the listener in deeper on every quivering revolution.

Britta Arnold opens with a dark, cybernetic overhaul of Pulse, cloaking its stripped electric core in a veil of dystopian tension. Blue Eyes Blinded is the new Berlin-based live act from two established names in the electronic music world: Alexander Schug, former frontman of the acclaimed live act BONDI, and Daniel Jaeger, a celebrated Berlin producer, DJ, and resident of the renowned "Bordel des Arts" series. Schug’s unmistakable voice and emotive songwriting have graced releases on labels such as Bar 25 Music, Einmusika Recordings, and 3000° Records, while Jaeger’s deep, groove-driven productions and masterful sound design have earned him recognition far beyond Germany’s borders.

With their debut EP, "Here Comes The Light", they present what they describe as Alternative House, a new fusion of emotive songwriting, cinematic textures, and club-ready grooves. The title track, "Here Comes The Light", blends heartfelt melodies with dynamic rhythms, while "Isolated" explores a more introspective mood, balancing depth and energy.

On ‘Counting’, Britta and Sasha unfold their brand of stripped darkness and rolling groove work, while ‘Reformer’ teeters on taut coils of suspended synths. With ‘NGVMT’, the energy bursts open—a radiant block-party roller with throbbing staccato swagger and clanking metallic arpeggios. ‘Beam’ lifts off into pure cosmic wonder, its fluttering, airy themes spiralling skyward. ‘Good Life’ rolls the credits with a beautifully introspective soliloquy, tender and reflective beneath gentle waves of aspirating piano chords.
