Partying in the woods is truly beyond words! Since I was opening the night stage, I had to deliver a high-energy set—and everything aligned perfectly: the setting, the sound, the vibe. Pure magic, and a weekend we’ll never forget!

UGENIUS Radio #140 with The Journey

It was an infatuation with electronic music from a young age that sparked the beginning of Nick Berry’s DJ career in the Sydney scene back in 2014.

Since then, Berry has made a name for himself through his acute deviation from what is expected, playing uniquely melodic music punctuated by an eclectic mix of deep house and techno - influenced by the 90’s rave and progressive trance era. Fast forward to present day and Nick Berry has shared lineups with DJ Koze, Oliver Koletzki, Andhim, and Gerd Janson to name a few.

UGENIUS Radio #144 with The Journey

A long-time friend of Alataj, Danee returns to Alaplay 640 with a powerful and emotional mix that marks a new phase in his artistic journey. With nearly two decades behind the decks, the Brazilian artist has become one of the most respected names in the country’s underground scene — known for his melodic and hypnotic sets that blend house, techno, and trance with emotional depth and technical precision.

Beyond the booth, Danee has been a driving force in Southern Brazil’s electronic culture. He co-founded the Lapso party and collaborated with collectives such as 128 bpm, Detroitbr, Trip to Deep, Seas, and Dark Room, helping shape a scene grounded in authenticity and artistic freedom. This mix captures that shared history and his evolution as an artist: a mature, emotional, and driving journey that reflects the essence of a DJ who continues to inspire Brazil’s underground generation.

For over two decades, OXIA has stood as one of France’s most respected DJs and producers in electronic music. His iconic track Domino, first released on Kompakt in 2006 and reissued on Sapiens in 2017 with a new remix package, has since surpassed 150 million streams. Two years later, his Cercle live performance gathered over a million views within days, reaffirming his status as a global force in electronic music.

His latest release, Aelle, is a finely crafted 12-track album that bridges the energy of the dance floor with the intimacy of personal listening. 

On this Balance Selections mix, the veteran selector keeps the energy alive from start to finish with a blistering 17 tracks in one hour. Featuring music from Nicolas Masseyeff, HotLap, Simone Vitullo, and more, it’s a powerful set of big-room sounds that effortlessly bridges the space between underground house and techno.

Fell in love with the Roommates's sound back when they release Shaman's Journey on their debut EP back in november. Now the duo is back with minimalistic yet warm, deep and hypnotic rework of Full Reis title track taken from his forthcoming EP on Word Up. 

Word Up Records continues to serve up exciting and essential releases, this time by signing label debutant Fell Reis for this fine five tracker, ‘Cova’.

Europe based Brazilian Fell began his journey as a producer on labels like Senssual and before long found favour with DJs like Luciano, Paco Osuna and Maya Jane Coles. He has been resident DJ at places like Sankeys Ibiza as well as playing all over the island for the likes of Zoo Project and Bora Bora, and this new release is a journey inside his mind that finds him serving up psychedelic feelings, progressive melodies, techno and tech house styles.

Opening the account is ‘Cova,’ a fantastically elastic deep techno trip that has rich bass and soft shakers brushing up with colourful chords that stretch out into the night sky. It’s mind melting stuff that also has a big physical appeal. Remixing is Roommates, two “mysterious entities who met under the full moon.” Together they’ve created a musical trip which combines organic drums and soulful melodies into an airy and plaintive piece that is both emotive with lingering pianos, but also decidedly driven. 

Then comes the brain-frying ‘Divergent’, a track littered with pixelated melodies and big wooden hits. It soars into the night on a dramatic groove and explodes with colour at regular intervals, and is therefore sure to make a big impact in any set. ‘MonkDance’ then twists and turns with more turbulent drums and chattery claps. A lithe synth line runs up the middle and more great tension comes from an epic breakdown that will take clubs by storm. 

Last of all, ‘Sandstorm’ featuring Natty Fensie is an electric cut that is about big, bouncy beats, synapse firing stabs and raw claps that bring real energy to the groove. 

This is a sizzling EP filled with colourful and creative techno sounds.

On the track "Bonsai" Tantum combines sharply lit synths, deep drums and filigree percussions with a soft groove that slowly but surely captivates all senses.
