Returning to his Rumors imprint following the recently released ‘Rainchecks In Montreal’ in April, Guy Gerber delivers ‘Bocat’, a two track EP of the artist’s trademark intricate and expressive musicianship.

Teaming up with singer/songwriter Albertina for the enchanting title track, the duo combines guitar licks, shuffling percussion, and subtle synth lines with Albertina’s sublime vocal performance. On the flip, ‘Polaris’ sees Gerber take the wheels solo, drawing upon his years of expertise to craft a deep and moving piece complete with twinkling arps, deep low-end, and piano work.

Founded in 2014, Guy Gerber’s Rumors has played host to Dixon, Seth Troxler, P Diddy, and beyond, amassing a vast fanbase since the early clandestine beach parties on the White Island.

Roberto Traista is been causing quite a stir with his melodic influenced driving progressive house productions. He has seen his works released on labels like PHW Elements, Hydrogen and Clinique amongst others, and has gathered massive support from the world’s finest.

With his return to ICONYC after his huge successful Air EP, Roberto turns it up a notch and shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off with the deep, hypnotic warm melodic layers of ‘Broken Promises’, interspersed with subtle effective percussion while the drop is a glowing bucket of emotions. Roberto manages to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

Next up we have 'Dark Anger' which opens with stunningly textured deep pads that warm the soul before a strong melodic infused bassline provides the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Intermittent drums and soft soaked percussions in reverb come together to create a structured sphere of sonic geniality. Essential stuff!

PaulWetz drops a captivating vocal and conscious lyric to bind this warm production together. With his upcoming Keinemusik release, &ME is kick-starting the time machine, beaming you right into the year "1995". You know, the year in which Microsoft released Windows 95, Miguel Induráin is winning the Tour de France for the fifth time in a row and Robbie Williams quits his job at the Take That enterprise. In addition to those crucial events, that time also sees the rise of Two Step and Garage in the UK underground. Now play the eponymous tune on the A-side and you'll feel beamed right back into these days. "1995" comes along in absence of a straight kick, filling that gap with dense subbass layers and phantasmal Ambient soundscapes. Then again, there is that tambourine loop, getting the groove on, a staccato synth getting into your head immediately and those high pitched vocals providing the needed amount of oddness. A tune most folks might not have expected from &ME, yet one of his strongest anyhow.

"Starting Again feat. Atelier" finds the man going back to more common ground, re-introducing the straight kickdrum, wading through a haze of Ambient- and pad-layers, installing a catchy synth on top and then letting those utmost affecting vocals shine. Vocals that, as well as the guitar arrangements, come courtesy of Jas, the singer of Atelier - a band from South Africa.
