Handing over the Melbourne-based DJ/Producer's 2020 originals to seven promising and energizing talents, MBR452 yields five reinterpretations that laud their predecessors' elegance while standing out as unique tracks on their own. Da Africa Deep spurs the five-track journey with his deep and earthy reincarnation of Leo Guardo and Adile Mbili's ecstatic meditation to "Wenomkhubulwane." Up next, C minor renders an ichorous remix of 'Bayamemeza' that propels Tabia's poignant aria to celestial depths. The second release on Phonique’s new label Zatar Music comes from Jordanian duo Fairplay: a gorgeous, deep, melodic house cut inspired by their local heritage and featuring vocals from Sahrawi singer Mariem Hassan.

Bringing a modern perspective to nomadic-style music, Jordanian alternative duo Fairplay intricately weave musical textures, with their music characterized by an eclectic, deep, and unpredictable approach. Releasing on labels like Kindisch, Stil Vor Talent and Bar 25 their approach favours organic sounds, often focussing on the trippy and the obscure, to create deeply layered, spellbinding productions.

Formed by Faisal and Fuad who met in their native Jordan before moving to study in the UK and USA, the duo started out promoting their Kollective Music parties, which welcomed electronic stars like Phonique, DJ T., Subb-An and Mihai Popoviciu. Buoyed by the success of these events they formed Fairplay and started Djing and producing together.

From the very start the music they made had always been deep, unpredictable and evocative, with Fairplay often incorporating Middle Eastern and Arabic sounds and instruments into their productions. Now Fairplay enter a new chapter of their sound with the release of Latlal.  

Inspired by their rich cultural heritage, they combine their trademark hypnotic melodies, with an evocative vocal sample, resulting in a track that embodies their message of staying true to ones roots while simultaneously being an entirely modern slice of melodic house. 

On the remix, longtime collaborators Anturage & Alexey Union bring their own unique flavour to Latal. Harnessing the uplifting power of Hassan’s vocal sample, they steadily build layers of percussion and synthlines, creating a crisp, progressive cut that patiently builds the tension. 

Zatar Music is a new label from Berlin-based award-winning producer Phonique, which launched in July 2022 with a brand new remix of Feel What You Want  - one of his best-loved records - from Ukraine’s breakout star Korolova.

August 16 sees Déepalma unveil the debut album of its core artist UCHA. The Georgian DJ and producer Ucha Gvinepadze aka UCHA from Tbilisi is already familiar to connoisseurs of the Deep House scene through releases on SNOE Music, Underyourskin Records or Déepalma, which is meanwhile known as his regular label.

Now his first studio album is released and it has a rather time consuming history: First, UCHA collected sound ideas and inspirations for two years. Only then he started working, drawing from this large fundus and creating an extraordinary sound design for every single song. The result is Mesmerized, an album that reflects everything that UCHA loves so much about electronic music. In a sequence of 17 multi-faceted songs UCHA shows an impressive sound spectrum, spanning youthful cheeky and summery fresh to adult, serious and melancholic atmospheres. The different genres on Mesmerized vary between Electronica, Deep House, House and Tech House, Melodic Techno and Afro House.
