After a string of standout releases across labels like Innervisions, When Stars Align, and Monaberry, Samantha Loveridge is back on Get Physical Music with a vibrant new track titled ‘Ogede’, featuring rising Nigerian vocalist AYONGE. This marks the first collaboration between the two artists and delivers a joyful, percussive slice of Afro House with a distinct melodic flair.

‘Ogede’ is a song full of warmth and movement. Rich in rhythm and layered with glowing synth work, the track is driven by AYONGE’s soulful vocals, which are delivered in Yoruba and English. Serve Cold, Grigoré and Jaguar Jaguar return to Defected with ‘LOW’, following the success of breakout label debut ‘Dancing’ in June 2025. Frequent collaborators Serve Cold and Grigoré first made music in 2024, inspired by the electronic soundscapes and neo-soul of artists like Jungle and Khruangbin. Together with Belgian band Jaguar Jaguar they debuted their fresh house record ‘Dancing’ on Defected Records in June 2025. The track was a breakout success, earning two million streams and two-thousand radio spins in under two months thanks to early support from the likes of Keinemusik, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Tripolism - the track also topped the Beatport Afro House chart for nearly two weeks after release. mikkelrev is continuing his brilliant music making with 'Spank the Monkey', to be released on Oh! Records the 11th of November. The remix from Carl Dern adds a smooth and melodic touch to the original track, giving it a slight progressive sound. In other words: a perfect match!

mikkelrev is a Stockholm born, Uppsala based Swedish producer with releases on Oh! Records and HMWL under his belt. This new EP, “Spank the Monkey” will be released on Oh! Records on November 11th 2016 and features three original tracks by mikkelrev and two remixes of the title track “Spank the Monkey”. The title can mean a few different things. In the case of mikkelrev’s track “Spank the Monkey”, the inspiration from the track comes from a board game with the same name. Having played few too many rounds of the game in the summer of 2013, the inspiration for the track was inevitable. But after having sketched out the main ideas for the track, mikkelrev forgot about it for about three years, until 2016, when he decided to finish and release the track. Stockholm based Oh! Records was a perfect match for the track, and mikkelrev also picked out just the right people to do the remixes. In Urmet K, he found someone to embrace the track’s deeper side, while Swedish producer Carl Dern has a slightly more progressive take to his remix.
