Baikal Nomads welcomes a new organic house/downtempo release by Turkish artist Kerem Genc, which also features remixes by Regndans and Fletcher Monsoon.

Kerem Genc is making his fourth appearance on Baikal Nomads, but this is his first solo EP following a previous remix and numerous tracks on VA releases. He has also dropped his enchanting style of chugging organic house on other record labels ranging from Kosa to Cosmic Awakenings.

Regndans is a Swedish artist from Malmö who returns to Baikal Nomads following his EP on the label in 2022. He drops a trippy remix in trademark style he has also featured on other imprints including the likes of Shango Records, MONADA and House Music With Love.

Fletcher Monsoon is back on Baikal Nomads with their second release for the record label and it's an uplifting track with a smouldering groove and undertones of funk. They are a duo of Israeli artists from Tel-Aviv who have worked with other record labels including Cafe De Anatolia and Ohxala Records.

"On My Own" is first of the two originals and its sun-drenched groove is a fusion of psychedelic guitar chords, gritty vocals and a chugging bassline. The flowing percussion gives the track a dance floor energy that will captivate any audience.

The backstory for this EP is drawn from Horus, one of the most important Masters of Ancient Khemit. His rule over Khemit influenced the culture for millennia and he was seen as the master of light, truth and knowledge of everything he touches. He had magical healing abilities inherited from his mother Wulsa and some authors believed Horus and his mother Isis could have shaped the image of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. First up is Bákayan who released on the label at the start of 2022. Here he works with Idd Aziz, who was already touring the world aged 15 and is one of Kenya's most accomplished vocalists and percussionists. Together they cook up the brilliantly engaging 'Mezdeke', a track built on alluring vocal chants, organic percussion and silky grooves full of spiritualism. Wild Dark is a New York duo with over two decades of experience behind them and releases on this label as well as the likes of Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings. Their brilliant 'Angels' is a candle lit late night deep house tune with muted melodies and enchanting pads. Subtle vocals drift in and out as the rolling groove lures you in ever further. Brazilian-born, Montreal-based All Day I Dream and Get Physical Music associate Hauy closes the EP with 'Mycelium'. It's a track that takes you on a colourful trip as the loose chords ride the scales and smart filters build the tension. Add in the cosmic melodies and you have some sublime dance floor escapism.

Merchant of silken-textured, smokey grooves and moiré house patterns folding out in kaleidoscopic motion, New-York-via-Berlin based label staple Nhii returns to ATCK with his eagerly anticipated next airing, "Rusted Rose". 

Championing a mix of style-transcending soulfulness and proper suave DJ-friendly swagger, the US-born producer treats us to a compellingly opaque, incense-shrouded slab of slo-burning electronics, bending the scope deftly from Easternmost to Mediterranean folk tropes on the overtly hedonistic title-track. Combining traditional Gypsy brass and Sicilian mandolinata with a seductive forward-tugging bass geared up for extensive action down in Ibiza, Nhii shows off the width of his vision and sample-heavy skillset, tailoring the kind of uniquely sensual, electro-acoustic adjacent weapon you can't help but returning to, encore et encore. 

On "Carn Menyn", Nhii opts for a different approach, still infusing his blends in a thick concoction of Latin melodies and tribal-laced rhythms throughout the poignant breaks that punctuate the journey, then giving full room for his hi-octane, heavily processed synth swashes and inch-perfectly woven programming to expand when the drop hits. Nimbly walking that fine line between timeless communion and future-facing, tech-powered abandon, Nhii offers one of his most strikingly mature efforts to date, a definite benchmark for his sound to build around and continue to unravel its supremely heady, soul-fulfilling flavours.
