“Vacances en Afrique” is a beautiful and an extremely elegant track from Lee Stevens & Domino. Soft, soulful and warming, gently and breeze like, fans of Mr. Fingers or Blaze will know exactly the score.The guys throw in the softest handclaps just to remind you that this was indeed produced at the Luv Shack. Beautiful! Next track comes with some dope acid, so be warned.

Burnin Tears and their glorious debut track for Luv Shack “Confessions” gets the Rotciv treatment. Brilliant little make over from Mister Mistery man who indeed knows what to do to make a floor fill. Actually, I can hear a little Larry Heard in this too come to think of it. Something like “The Sun Can't Compare”.

B-Side starts off with more fireworks, this time from guest DJ Rocca. “Ring Bell” is another that harks back to the glorious generation of classic Chicago and Detroit. Firing on all cylinders and taking no prisoners along the way, it’s simply a dance record and confesses to be nothing more or less. Fat and wobbly, chucky and thick, sounds that hit you from all angles. If was driving a car to this song, I’d get a frigging speeding ticket.

Finally, Radio Diffusion from Linz here in Austria do the do with a banging remix for Jakobin & Domino’s “Struggle”. This track appeared in its original form back on LUV002 and was really well received from fans of the Shack. Good idea then for the guys to relive it with a full on interpretation from some home grown talent! Niceness!

For the latest output on Lost, Max Chapman produces the goods once again, this time joined by upcoming Kieran Andrews for their inauguration collaboration. The Temperature EP is a straight up three-track compact dancefloor package. 

The lead track Temperature is a delightful slice of deep house with lingering bassy washes, jacking drum patterns topped off with a killer female vocal arrangement. The big drop and pressing vocals shine through for this melodic garage style anthem. 

Ten Twenty One is a much darker house vibe. With some deep hooks and synth patters sitting kindly with a tough bassline, completed with a cleverly spaced out furious vocal stab. Last but by no means least The Groove single is a more percussion heavy techy vibe with an unrelenting bassline and a driving vocal sample. 

This EP will go down a treat in the places that like things nice and deep…

Following on from releases with Moda Black, Portsmouth based Concrete Music and Get Twisted over the past couple of years, emerging London based producer Jett will showcase his deft and vivid approach to UK House, with a two track debut for Fat! Records.

His gorgeous rendition of Radiohead’s 'Talk Show Host' played a part in the dramatic conclusion of Gorgon City’s Essential Mix for Radio 1, back in September.

Jett’s potent blend of deep and absorbing bass contrasts perfectly with striking, yet wistful top lines to conjure up a stonking opening track with 'Streets of You'. Second track 'Zeus' is a more upbeat affair, aimed squarely at the dancefloor, picking apart the ever blurring lines between speed garage and deep house.

The seeds for this exciting collaboration between Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur were sown a long time ago during snatched conversations at airport terminals, online and at various shows around the world. But, their hectic schedules has meant that patience has been a necessary virtue when it came to actually finding time to work together on this new project. However, the final product – “Sad Robot” – for John Digweed’s Bedrock label has definitely been worth the wait!

This sparkling gem of a track pushes all the right buttons: a low-slung, percussive groove backbone, peppered with twisted vocal snippets and an ebb and flow of euphoric attitude that only comes from years of experience of rocking the best dancefloors around the world week in week out. With added excitement in the form of an energetic, throbbing monster of a remix by Musumeci (aka Sicilian DJ/Producer Mauro Di Martino) – this new package from Bedrock is set to fly.

Nick Warren has just recently returned from another successful tour of South America, and is currently working with production partner Jody Wisternoff on a new Way Out West album. Meanwhile, Guy Mantzur has forthcoming releases lined up on Kompakt and Lost & Found. This first meeting of musical minds for Bedrock has proved such a creative success, we can only hope they find time for more collaborations like this in the future.

The backing of Kerri Chandler isn't easy to come by, so it's no surprised Voyeur are rated so highly. 

We first got a taste of Benson Herbert and Leo Pickings' groove-licked house sound back in 2012 when they released the 'Blame It On The Youth' EP on MadTech, the sub-label of King Kerri's Madhouse Records. The EP’s original tracks draw on Fitzpatrick’s extensive production experience yet fit seamlessly into the Hotflush catalogue, retaining a dancefloor sensibility as they explore a range of melodic territory. The title track’s drama lies in its brazenly enchanted synth line, while B1, Vanishing, charts a deeper course, with a slow, percussive burn.
