This Richard Dworsky piano piece is one of my very favorites.  It moved me to the point that I decided to write words to it to describe my feelings towards my beautiful family.  It's still a little in the developmental stage.  Did you ever hear your own voice and want to cringe?  Well, I get that all the time.  But the heck with the cringe factor, Bob Ponte on piano does such a sweet job on this tune it's time to throw it out there.

Gordon Lightfoot's account of this ship's sinking seems about right though no one is exactly sure.  It's surely a powerful and emotional story.  29 lives lost.

We only lost John Prine a few years back.  I don't love his original version as others, particularly Bonnie Raitt, do it better I think.  That being said, I love John on two other cuts I posted, the fun "Please Don't Bury Me" and the classic "Lake Marie".

Dreaming Again

I really love this song.  It's basically a one hit wonder from Tim Moore.  It got radio play so long ago.  I found 3 of his albums in some obscure places but only enjoyed a few of the cuts (A fool Like You, Throw me a Lifeline).  He's from Philadelphia and I guess he used to play with Daryl Hall.

I don't know much about Jerry Jeff Walker other than he wrote this, and he helped a young artist named Jimmy Buffett get his career going.
My plan was to get decent with my Harmonica on this one but I kept singing the words instead of practicing on the harp.  Words tell the story better and I love a good story.
The Photo proves my Mom wasn't the best at haircuts.  I guess the bowl was crooked when it went on my head.  But I do Rock Plaid.

What a great story Jim Croce Paints.  Makes me think he was actually there.

This is a song I often sang to my daughters when they were babies on my knee.  I love singing to Babies and Animals because they Don't Judge.

Well isn't this a fun song.  I sing to my grandkids and they enjoy it.
I originally learned from the Doherty Sisters (Pat, Sheila, Kathy, Nancy and Holly) at Community Boating.  They learned it in CCD class.

My favorite artist, Jim Croce, with one his big hits.  But Croce was much more than the hits that got radio time.  I attempt to sing many of Jim's songs.  I wish Jim was around to help me get it right.

I really enjoy this song.  I put it in my collection of Hobo songs.
Life has it's struggles, some more than others.  I remember my old college days when I sometimes called collect and always asked my parents for money.  Western Union cash to the rescue.

My Baby's Baby

A songwriter and novice harmonica player who is vocally challenged rides coat tails of musician friend.  The recent posting of 42 songs are raw vocal tracks from a mere 3 hours of recording studio time (given to me as a Christmas gift).   
     These are great songs that are best heard from the original artist.  Check them out.  I love those "Hobo Tunes" and feel compelled to croak Croce.  I'll tell you, I had a blast in a real recording studio.  Thank You Andrew and Mockingbird Music Studio.

What's the track I like best?  While Vocal Destruction is fun, and I'm most proud of writing Whiskey with Wade, I'd say Diablo Wind.  It moves me.  I wrote it but left the rest to the professionals.  Ah, and that Piano.
