AMNESIA BEYOND THE DOUBLE MOON

This is very short song written by Eric Feltham, and when he asked me to add vocals I was thrilled to do so..  Durge then added his vocals, and this beautiful angelic harmony came into being with his help.  This is a very unique and short instrumental track but I dare say it holds quite a bit of fascination.  It was a pleasure to work with Eric, and Durge and I are thrilled we could tag along on this Avantgarde excursion off the D&D beaten track.

Hesitation Blues may have been the first twelve-bar blues to be known across the US South, circulating in oral tradition for years – perhaps decades – before it was written down, mostly in versions that were far too dirty to be printed or recorded. Robert Winslow Gordon and Hubert Canfield both collected multiple versions in the 1920s, and Jelly Roll Morton recalled one for Alan Lomax that he’d apparently heard in New Orleans around the turn of the century. 

The Hesitation Blues has since been cleaned up and done by various artists in every genera. However it originated in burlesque and other more phonographic musical forms of the underworld preformed for patrons in juke joints, brothels and speak-easy clubs by early bluesmen. Most versions seem to have included verses in the same basic pattern:

Hesitation Standard Blues - Solo Guitar Instrumental Bluesman (Century of Progress)

The Tabula Smaragdina (stressed tábula smarágdina, Latin for "emerald tablet") is a text traditionally attributed to Hermes Trismegistos, which forms the philosophical basis of Hermeticism and is considered the foundational text of alchemy.

The Tabula is one of the most famous texts of alchemical and hermetic literature. The twelve or so dark, allegorical sentences reflect the idea of a interrelation between the microcosm and the macrocosm. That which is below is like that which is above, and that which is above is like that which is below, an eternal miracle of the One.

The oldest extant version of the text is found in the appendix to a 6th century Arabic manuscript. Translated into Latin in the 12th century, the Tabula was commented on and received by many alchemists in the Middle Ages and increasingly in the Renaissance period. Even after the emergence of modern natural sciences, its fascination, at least for occultists and esotericists, remained unbroken until the present day.

Auch nach Entstehung der modernen Naturwissenschaften blieb ihre Faszination zumindest auf Okkultisten und Esoteriker bis in die Gegenwart ungebrochen.

'Another False Flag' is a Fusion track. With the world currently in a state of chaos, the old saying of: 'Think the best, but prepare for the worst' came to mind. So this is me thinking the best and hopefully we can all stay on that track, knowing that 'Another False Flag' could happen at any moment and being prepared for it.

Second part of my father trilogy.
This song is based on a dream I had a good 20 years ago with my father, who had been dead for some time. 
I am in a dimly lit room. It's just me and somehow my father's energy body. At some point, this invisible energy body comes towards me. Then we embrace. It is a merging embrace. Something deep inside me releases and makes me cry. It's not so much a sad cry, but a liberating, soothing cry that pacifies me completely. 
Since this dream, the grudge I harboured against him for a long time has largely disappeared.     
Somehow he has been there inside me since then and I can sometimes visit him (even in dreams) when I want to talk to him.

The arrangement of the song is deliberately minimalist (just vocals, guitar and violin, hardly any effects) in order to emphasise the tremendous intimacy of the encounter between my father and me in the dream described above (there is no longer a "leaf" between us).

L’ambiance est calme, contemplative et apaisante, invitant à la rêverie et au relâchement.

Shadow of Silence

This piece is played on a real acoustic piano, a Samick upright piano, using a zoom recorder with a built-in stereo microphone, by having the zoom recorder placed inside the piano. There were no virutal (VST) instruments used. You can hear the natural overtones which are impossible to produce using synthesizers or computer based instruments. Even though this piano is not an expensive instrument, it is superior to a sampled Steinway or a Bosendorfer, BECAUSE IT'S REAL! That being said, I also enjoy and use VST pianos which are a great deal of fun and have several advantages including transposing and always being perfectly in tune.

After getting all my work done, I felt like sitting down in front of my piano that is decorated with all kinds of lights and figures. Recalling some tequila, love words and more with them in that Ibiza bar, I wondered: “What if Pink Floyd met the spirit of Camarón de la Isla… in my bedroom?” I used lots of guitars, basses, etc. on a 12/8 beat, to enclose 3/4, 6/4 & 8/8 rhythms along.
