Recorded at the legendary 11AD Studios with master producer Alain Johannes in February 2015, "The Grey Mountain" by Seattle rock duo Hobosexual, was executed  in 1 take, with 0 instrumental or vocal overdubs. 

It was the end of the 2nd, 12 hour day with the legendary producer, when the Hobos and Alain found themselves with a bit of time to kill after wrapping recording. 

A 4 room setup was used, with clusters of Amplifiers representing different tonal coloration in each room, separated and controlled by an ABY footswitch in the main studio by Harwood, as he sang and played in front of the drums. 

The mythical Ludwig drum kit, used by Dave Grohl and Joey Castillo for Queens of the Stoneage and Them Crooked Vultures was used extensively by Silva in the Johannes sessions, and the presence of that massive kick and tom array can be heard smattered in Bonham-esque explosions throughout the bombastic, psychedelic, head trip of a recording. 

"The Grey Mountain" is an instrumental concept as story Harwood composed while on tour in 2014, based loosely around the viscera and horror of alien abduction, but simultaneously laced with a John Carpenter-esque undertone of paranoia toward the waking realities and pressures we all face on a daily basis.

"Illegal Sensations" showcases Hobosexual's unrivaled ability to blend pure rock n roll, with a current, unique, massively catchy and frighteningly well executed chameleon of a future smash hit single. 

Like the deceptively simple hit creeper, "The Black Camaro Death" off the band's prior release, this is a rare departure for Hobo. It's yet another clean and honest look into the band's abilities to transcend genre specifics and cliche, while jettisoning clever for wisdom, and creating something that goes beyond simple, "here today gone tomorrow", fast food esque pop novelty.

Recorded with the legendary Alain Johannes (QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures)in February 2015 "Killed to Death" is the most ambitious, purely visceral, go for broke, rock n roll juggernaut you'll hear this decade.

From Harwood's insane vocal range, placed appropriately into the mix and at a safe distance from the massive and constantly moving bone and muscle structure of Johannes' patented "wall of guitars", and combined with Silva's riot inducing drum work, it's "Soundgarden" meets "Kyuss", meets the return of the guitar solo from hell.
