"Absence Per Se" is a triptych that explores the concept of loss.

"Death of Depth" symbolizes loss.
"Lamentalia" symbolizes grief.
"Far&Well" symbolizes acceptance and overcoming.

Loss is a process.
It begins with an understanding of its inevitability.
Shock. Panic. Attempts to escape.
All in vain.

Then comes the cage of pain.
Eat pain. Dream pain. Breathe pain.

Sing pain.
And then comes mourning. Grief.

Lament your loss as deeply as you can.
Touch every string.
Shed every tear.
Let the mourning birds hatch, raise them, and set them free.

Loss is a process that ends with the realization of its inevitability.
This is the moment of truth, the source of your energy.
This is your chance to breathe.

You accept it.

The birds have flown so far away now.
And you are well.
