Music For Strings No: 1 (Doors)

A String quartet written to explore the maximum possibilities out of a minimum number of notes. The players are given six cells to play and are given rough guidelines about which cells can and cannot be played at different times. The resultant sound is a rapidly evolving musical landscape, which, using the 1296 possible chord combinations, will never be the same performance to performance.
