Hockeysmith returns with a new summer jam “Sorrelful”.The third track to be released from a series of sessions with Ed Banger producer Borussia, recorded in Paris during lockdown. 

This track wouldn’t have existed if Annie hadn’t asked Borussia “what beats have you got?” - Borussia claims - “The idea for the instrumental was to get a simple yet very digital summer song, some kind of Hajime Sorayama at the beach if you will”.

Initially formed as the teenage project of sisters Annie and Georgie, Hockeysmith is now a solo project by Annie, who resides in her static Winnebago in Cornwall. Annie Hockeysmith has been taking her time developing her sound and a whole world of music around her project. Working with the likes of 4AD and Nis Bysted (Escho), she has returned to her kindred musical soulmate Andy Smith (Lxury) to complete her debut mini-album, “I Am For Life”. Her catalogue of experimental electronica is impressive, creating everything from Cornish acid under the synonym “Annie eel” to empowering pop anthems. Hockeysmith can turn her hand to almost anything.
