Being named a resident at Berghain is likely an unattainable dream for so many DJs, but for Sedef Adasi, it all happened naturally. The Turkish producer grew up in the mid-sized Bavarian city of Augsburg, where a lack of spaces she felt comfortable with—she's mentioned DJing in shoe stores—led her to start her own party, HAMAM Nights. From there she made her name with a vibrant, diverse sound that encompasses breaks, electro, techno and more, with soft-focus melodies and plenty of vocal hooks. She's one of the first residents at the legendary club to truly reflect the glorious cross-pollination of dance music styles in the '10s, when techno absorbed ideas from dubstep, garage and more. 

Adasi represents both floors of that club, and you could imagine this RA Podcast going down in either room, but of course, she exists outside that club's narrative too. What you'll hear here is a cutting-edge and dynamic blend of electro and Latin techno—with two tracks from 2022 MVP Nick León—mixed with grace and finesse. Her sound is immediately approachable, well-paced and full of catchy moments and breakdowns. Listen and find out.

On March 1st, Resident Advisor hosted a German language panel discussion called “The Future of Clubs” at Remoto Records in Hamburg, Germany. Part of our RA Community Connections series, the event brought together key voices from the local club scene to talk about the challenges and opportunities facing club culture today. Topics included financial pressures, creative use of empty spaces, and the power of DIY projects. It was a vibrant, honest conversation about how to keep the culture alive and evolving. "For this mix, I actually did something really special. I’m premiering the remixes from my Subject Detroit compilation, and I’ve also created five new tracks specifically to play in this mix. There are a couple of other tracks from some amazingly talented artists in there as well. The focus is an uptempo, danceable, but super funky techno mix – not sleepy, not slow – just Detroit style. That’s what I love to do. It’s got to be funky, but it has to have that pace and danceability."

El joven navarro Hodei6Z comenzó muy pronto su andadura en el mundo de la música, cursando 9 años de percusión y otros tantos de guitarra eléctrica. 

Con el paso de los años, por influencia de amigos cercanos empezó a conocer el mundo de la música electrónica que desató una gran curiosidad en él. Comenzó explorando varios estilos siempre manteniendo esa esencia melódica envolvente acompañada de ritmos marcados entre 118-130 bpms.

Tras un tiempo probando y desarrollando nuevos estilos, sus sesiones actualmente destacan por su gran selección musical que se caracterizan por arrancar a bajos bpms con melodías tribales de afro-house seguido de temas más movidos de Deep-house con ritmos elegantes y sutiles que van llevándote por su viaje musical para acabar con sonidos mas agresivos y a altos de bpms e inclinándose a géneros más techno y electro.

Cabe mencionar su gran conciencia con la cultura electrónica, cultura de club y musical en general de este artista, apoyando y aportando cada vez más a ella.
