Indonesia based but British-born producer Ginger Shinobi comes to house music with some serious history. As head barman at Cream in Liverpool from 1996-1998 he not only got to work alongside living legends like Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, and Boy George but got to play alongside them as well. I encountered him during the great moombahton bubble a few years back. When his focus was more on global bass sounds.

You can never escape your roots though. His latest EP (which is out today, actually) is a house music tour de force that has already taken a place of prominence in my play list. This remix of his stellar title track "You Are" comes courtesy of Indonesian producer Hogi. As the title suggests, this late night, dirty, after hours house for when you've done too much of something or other.
