Stavroz managed to create a wholesome, comforting soundtrack for a place, which no words can describe. Take a rest, lay down, close your eyes and listen to a story told in an orchestral fashion, with such profession and ear for details like Luise never heard before. Long time channel pals, "Who’s Susan" have kindly chucked a lovely DJ Windows XP jam our way from their brand new bi-polar-esque titled EP, "Sometimes I Feel Happy, Sometimes Sad" - I guess operating systems do have feelings after all. After making serious waves off the back of their last release on DJ Haus' imprint, E-Beamz; the Amsterdam duo's second offering demonstrates another, perhaps more considered facet to their production ability - yet retaining their trademarked raw stonk.

Lots of questions are still left to be answered, though. Who really is Susan? Maybe ‘it’ could have been me? At the end of it all though, who cares. Let your synapses turn around the infinite situations, with infinitesimal different angles round and round your brain- what’s gone is gone. Dust to dust.  Stare into the abyss, sink into your cocoon, let the bass drum thud in the back of your throat, the background synths wrap over you, crescendoing into the most alleviating rush. Pretty blissful stuff and certainly not just another jovial 'DJ' pseudonym.

If you’re a Melbourne, Sydney or Perth resident, chances are you’ve already heard of ‘Clipp.Art’. The Fitzroy based collective of music pals come together with like-minded local crews to throw lo-velocity dance parties under the “Sounds Like A Good Time” brand. Over the past six months, they’ve built a more-than-impressive portfolio of parties across Australia’s capital cities. Calling upon the deejaying talents of DJ Seinfeld, Ross From Friends, Bloody Mary, Demuja, DJ Boring, Coeo, Auntie Flo and more, on the reg. Apart from gifting us with these international treats, Clipp.Art offers space behind the decks to showcase burgeoning regional talent (Eduardo Muchacho, Georgia Bird, Shouse, James Pepper). Their current summer series of free events goes down every Sunday evening in Sydney’s “Byrondi” sector, with acts including Gerd Janson, Sandboards and Black Loops.

Clipp.Art takes another big step in their contribution to the local scene, with the launch of their own start-up record label. From February 2018 onwards, the new Clipp.Art imprint promises an ongoing series of weekly/bi-weekly digital cuts - complemented by the occasional limited edition split artist 12 inch. First up to the plates is Melbourne artist, Cassettes For Kids, with single release “Pleasure” - a smooth summer mover, built around a slow winding vocal drone that resolves itself inside an abrasive crescendo of shuffling paper-cut hi-hats and detroity pads. Add super-soaker levels of bass-line and you have the recipe for good times ahead.
