HOLDEN are a must see live experience, as front man Jedd &amp; Brother Anthony Holden on electric guitar/ mandolin, present their collection of classic songs, packed full of raw emotive lyrics &amp; electric shrills. While Dan Coffey, bass &amp; Kris Lousley, drums, both English Gentry, complete the Garage-Folk musical glue, taking the listener clear into the stratosphere, via the British Band’s epic live show. The warm classical Cello enhances their recorded sound, which edges on The Everly bro’s coupled with the rock nous of Oasis- perhaps with less attitude, but certainly more beard?!

The Songwriting Brothers of Brit-Pop, were reared in Edinburgh’s suburban town of Dalkieth, found early influence in the compelling nature of storytelling via their Celtic folk law roots. Together, these “defenders of the underdog” find unique inspiration, as while gig’s are played by night, day-break sees the pair find unlikely jobs in the mental health &amp; social care systems, where themes filter through such as alcoholism, homelessness and internal contemplation, heard in pretty yet dark ditty ‘In The Yard’.

Now based in historical musical spot Abbey Road where they are due to launch an online session from their roof, aptly named HOLDEN ON The Roof. The Band continue to wrack up a London to Edinburgh live connection, building their fan-base at venues north and south of the boarder with support of talent groomers ‘Born To Be Wide’. The band-of-four’s line up was complete in June 10’, now armed with a National TV Sync, creative visual team and some Major Label demo’s under their belt, this BBC Introducing band look ahead to an imminent showcase at ‘In The City’ at UMBRO Design Studio’s as well as Canadian Music Week March 11’, loudly hinting to catch them at your local before literally going worldwide.

Holden are a Folk/Rock four piece from London, fuelled by character, energy and a lust for making authentic music for the masses to embrace.

The voice of lead singer/acoustic guitarist Jedd Holden carries a soaring pure emotive tone amply backed and harmonised by brother Ant Holden, wielding a sharp, piercing layer on lead electric guitar. Dan Coffey on bass guitar lays a competent and solid foundation blending his own baritone voice to the brothers’ whilst Kris Lousley on drums attaches intricate hi-hat work to tasteful grooves.

Gathering bites of inspiration from Fred Neil, Nick Drake, Duane Allman and The Who, Holden produce a live show that teeters from delicate solo voice to brazen explosive power, unleashed with fantastic swiftness.

With roots buried in a rich pageantry of storytelling, all four members’ backgrounds contribute to influencing their songs with an unofficial mantra of “championing the underdog”.

With a limited edition EP ‘The Netherhall Sessions’ recently finished, along with several new videos of brand new material AND an album on the way, Holden are very much a band on the ascendency.
