Having cut his teeth in the early 00s Paris underground scene, Maxime started out his career as a DJ alongside DJ Wild at the infamous Les Bains Douches, before going on to launch his own queer parties - ‘Cockorico’ and ‘Le Bal Con’ - enacting a deep commitment to supporting alternative queer scenes, and a growing passion for dark, sensual beats. As a current resident of Ellen Allien’s We Are Not Alone parties, he possesses a learned understanding of how to build precise sonic atmospheres that are tense and beautiful in equal measure.

With his third EP for BPitch - Earth - Maxime explores a fine-tuned affinity for gothic aesthetics and heavy rhythmic frameworks, crafting four expertly arranged cuts of wonderfully eerie techno for the early hours.

‘CRTSTTURLGTN’ opens with flecks of acid floating around in space, before quickly descending into madness with a powerful kick and heady distortions.

With ''Do You Think @bout Me'', Maxime plummets us into an alternate world of echoey glitches and haunting vocals driven by a hammerdrill pattern of hi hats and snares. Opening up into vaster expanses, title track ‘Earth’ takes its foot off the gas briefly for a slightly sparser cut of ambient-influenced techno that feels like an acid trip in the woods at night. Finally, the cheekily titled ‘Work Babe’ jumps onto a funked-up bassline for one last spiral at the end of the night.

Earth is an homage to the spaces that have influenced Maxime throughout a lifetime of commitment to supporting the underground.

It’s also an irresistibly danceable package of sleazy, unrelenting techno.

Greek roots, born in Koblenz and currently living in Augsburg, Germany, Christos found his musical affinity already in his earlier years. When his focus shifted to the electronic genres at some point, he knew that this was where he belongs, as soon after he got hooked on DJing which also involved developing his stylistically signature, allowing him to dive even further into his passion.

For the better part, Christos’ sound is based upon an atmospheric & deep track selection, resulting in quite trippy sets which can pick up quite a serious pace as well. Ambitiously following a “golden thread” in all his performances.

In a context where haste and instantaneity lead to any form of art, personal relationships, or cultural content becoming increasingly empty and devoid of care, craftsmanship, or patience, it is surprising that a Techno producer debuts after years of maturing their sound in the shadows, eventually distilling a mature album worthy of some of their influences.

In this "Renacer," we find a comprehensive exercise in hopeful dystopian Techno with a certain emotional charge that takes us on a winding journey from start to finish, where each of the tracks fits perfectly within a specific timeframe of the night.
