It's been a while since I last touched my guitar...and sang...BUT today just felt special, and the dark skies in my heart have lifted a bit. Much like I'm hopeful a bit right now, I resonate with this song of BTS (which is one of the things that actually just kept me going in this pandemic, that and doggos and baby pictures xD). 

Anyway, it's just a short cover. I haven't really done anything creative in a while in terms of music, so I figured taking it slow. (And also because...I realize I suck at it now. I'm really out of practice. T^T)

If you think I should make a full song cover, then please comment your thoughts and tell me if I should. :) I'll try to practice my korean with the song because it's so fast and I just couldn't keep up with the verses. T^T But I'll try if you want to hear it.

This is one of their songs in their (LANY) new album that kind of resonated with me the most. Like, we're all sinners. Some may be graver than others, and others subtle at most, but that doesn't mean we can't make an effort to talk to Jesus--to reach out to Him in our current messed-up state. In fact, it is in our weakness that we see God's power strengthening us in whatever circumstance we are in. 

As long as we put an effort to believe in His love for us, everything will be okay. Everything will go as He planned. There was never a need to worry. We just need to keep holding His hand and staying strong. 

And this song, this raw and emotional song about reaching out to Him, just hit me really hard today. <3 I hope it touches your heart too.

This song's been stuck with me since it's been released last year, and thank God, I finally got the time to record and arrange my own cover for this amazing song. Lyric-wise, I cannot relate to it LOL HOWEVER, I do love the rhythm and the musicality of this song is just top-notch! HAHAHA So, I got excited and tried something new. I hope it's okay. 

I mean..I don't know if I've improved or anything, but I'm not really the greatest producer out there so, if you got some advise, I'll take it. :D If none, I hope you enjoy this rendition of mine!

Hey, so finally! I got the time to record my 4th song for my "Seven" album :D yay lol. I've just been busy with life lately and haven't gotten the time to actually scream a lot so...it feels SO GOOD to let it out with music. <3 

Personally, I'm proud of the arrangement I made this time. I just wanted to try adding a heartbeat in the background to see if it'll make a difference with the music. Although it's still a skill I've yet to master, I'm pretty proud I managed to be patient with it and really stick to doing the arrangements this time and not just give up and end up with just plain strumming. 

It sounds interesting now to me, but idk about you? I really do hope I improved at some point. Vocally-wise, I'm not at my best condition, but I just really need to record this as a whole so I won't forget if I choose to re-do this in the future. :D

Storm - Original

my 2021 unreleased original music. basically, I got this idea from my cousin's backlog of chorus lyrics and the combined memories of my cousins' love stories over the years and maybe a bit of my own beliefs too. i guess I grew attracted to that kind of love, that was out of the woods or fragile, in a sense, and it's made me realize how toxic a relationship could be if there's no communication. and well, yeah... I just want to... materialize that ugly, desperate feeling into a song as some sort of release from that toxic addiction.

it's more of a lesson learned to not repeat the same mistake from the past--to actually love ourselves more than to seek love from others who couldn't care less about you.

this is a raw acoustic version of the song I wrote... it was supposed to get some keyboard and drum arrangement...but that didn't turn out well so... i opted to just post the raw version here. it's sad if no one would ever get to hear this. really loved the angsty lyrics here. 😅

One OK Rock is one of my favorite bands...ever. I've been debating on covering their heart-grabbing songs for some time now, mainly because Taka's voice is too powerful and soulful to even dare imitate or tarnish. T^T  But after...you know, watching a movie from the Rurouni Kenshin movie series on Netflix, and this song popped out at the portion of the credit, I thought, wow, if I could just do my rendition of that song, that would just be super AMAZING. T^T

Heartache has been one of my favorite songs from the band. Obviously, because I'm a sucker for heart-wrenching lyrics and music. T^T huhu.

Anyway, I hope I did some justice to this song...although, of course, Taka's voice will always be the supreme. [And I'm just a sickly girl who hasn't recovered from her bouts of allergic rhinitis. :(( Pardon my voice. It's not in the best condition yet again :(]

Give this song some hearts if it deserves to be loved too. 

Oh, and go watch the 5 movies!!! I'm on my last one, and I'm really hesitating to end it because I don't want it to end huhu T^T

It felt good to get this out. :D It's been so long since I've last written, but after sitting down and doing it, it feels great and I feel a bit human again. <3 My writing's a bit rusty now since I'm out of practice but, I like the overall feels of this new song. hehe

Okay, so I didn't really recognize this track in the drama at first, but when Hwang In Yeop sang it...I was like... OMG? And I fell in love with his voice ever since. Like, he's really the voice of the guy of my dreams. AND I'm just...in a series of messy hangovers ever since True Beauty has ended. </3 I would really love to do covers on everything he sang on that drama; however, I only have so much patience to record in such a noisy environment. T^T And so, maybe I'll do another...maybe Starlight by Chani, that he also covered in the drama. :D 

Anyway, I hope you like my rendition of the song! It's a tone higher than the original song since I can't really sing that low, so I transposed. Also, the chords weren't in the internet yet, so I feel a bit proud to say that I discovered the chords by myself this time by ear. Glad to really know I still got the music ear thing going on. hehe. <3 Thank you Lord!
