Continuing on the success of the first version, ATLAS NOIR presents his latest melodic bass offering, THE LOST LOVE LETTER: AN INTROSPECTIVE. This collection of edits, mashups, and personal favorite records looks to tell a story of a person growing out of blaming others for the way life turned out.  The protagonist of this story comes to the conclusion that in the process of blaming others, they’ve pushed themselves into a darker place. Heartbreak is not the sole reason for their shortcomings. Much of life is in their own hands to shape, and it’s a commitment to strive for self-improvement daily.

THE LOST LOVE LETTER: AN INTROSPECTIVE

WE ARE FINALLY BACK. It's been a fat minute, a whole year actually! LGCY FM is back on the road to 100 episodes with the final season of this guest mix series. This week we have SVMA from Hawaii and the Scrubs Collective.

"Ayo what is good! My name is Landon (aka svma) and I'm a melodic bass/mash up artist from Mililani, Hawaii! I started the svma project in 2018, making mixes and mash ups on SoundCloud. My previous endeavor before the svma project was breakdancing and curating b-boy events, so music has always played a constant role in my life. After attending my first rave back in 2014, I immediately fell in love with the culture and the music, thus lighting a fire in the passion of pursuing a music career as an electronic music artist/dj. In 2018, I took on the challenge of learning music production, and it has paved the path of making my dreams a reality.

This mix is a melodic dubstep/bass mix, incorporating some of my own mash ups, edits from other artists, and some of my favorite tracks. This mix is heavily influenced by the times I've opened for artists such as Illenium, William Black, Last Heroes, ARMNHMR and Phase One. This mix showcases my mixing style, focusing more on the melodic mixing aspect of djing, with a twist of slappers sprinkled in the mix. Hope y'all enjoy the mix! "

Remember your last heartbreak? The one that left you feeling lost and unsure because of how engrained they were into your life?

Did your friends/mutuals offer you sympathy, or did they distance themselves?

Often, only one side receives compassion during a breakup while the other is almost... hated. This mix aims to highlight that forgotten side—the side that messed up. The side now seen as the "enemy." Despite the circumstances, the pain is real for us, and it still hurts us too. ❤️‍🩹

Guilt can easily turn into self-hatred if you let it, and others may add to the hurt intentionally or unintentionally. Making mistakes doesn't make us a bad person. I try not to worry what other people think since it's out of my control, but I do hope when people talk about me, they don’t leave the Good Parts out.

Is it naive to hope for another chance? Will I find love again?

This mix is deeply personal and I chose each song to evoke feelings of remorse, sadness, and nostalgia. Crucial songs that embody the theme are "Hurts Me Too" by Hoang (unreleased), "Confessions" by Nick Ledesma, "Start Over" by Jessica Baio and "What I Put You Through" by Conor Maynard. The lyrics tell my story, and I hope they resonate with you. 

If you're experiencing heartbreak and feel invalidated by others, know you're not alone and that this mix is for you.
