Pan-Pot return to their Second State imprint to serve up the label's sixth release this year. The illustrious Second State has been fostering the sound of some of techno’s biggest tastemakers and emerging artists for several years, with releases throughout 2021 so far being some of their strongest ones to date. "Voodoo Signs" EP however, is a shift from their usual productions, incorporating a breakbeat sound throughout the record, a step away from the duo’s familiar straight ahead techno weapons.

Hugely atmospheric and packed with conflicting elements, “Voodoo” is the punchier cut of the two tracks on the record. A palpitating muffled kick launches and is quickly joined by rapid percussion and dancing hi-hats that weave throughout the heaviness. As things develop, these turbulent elements are smoothly subdued to let doomy wails echo and build to a crescendo. The main vocal sample meshes with several other voices that ominously quaver over the original. A stabbing melody is then introduced, skittering over the foundations with broken beat drum hooks moving in unison.

On the flip side is “Signs”, a peak time fast paced club track with a driving beat. A stifled kickdrum and a singular bleating tone start things off, before the full weight of the drum is unleashed. A dark looming bass builds on top of cracking percussion and claps until it’s replaced by a distorted male vocal sample crying out “searching, searching”. In the second half, the bleating tone is pushed into the minor key and the bass looms, menacingly. The kick drum returns while the vocal sample becomes increasingly distorted until it fades out. A breakbeat cuts through the noise, switching up the energy and reinstating the hectic, club atmosphere.

Our next release takes full control of the French partnership of Citizen Kain and Kiko. Both artists have been presently released with Eleatics with remixes and full singles in the past, so welcoming this joint release is our humble pleasure. The latest productions released on Afterlife, ATLANT, Bedrock and Watergate have been warmly met by the global tastemakers, so this release is the one we are happy to put out finally.

Title 'Pablo' takes the haunting and cracking sounds from its' first seconds. The elastic groove alongside the sharp and cutting sounds is firmly proving the tracks' efficiency with dramatic and sensitive breakdowns. 

Israel duo Jos & Eli stay in our sight for a long time. Their recent releases were released by Renaissance, Odd One Out and Watergate, so their retake on 'Pablo' is a work we're delighted to release. Placing the hypnotic repetitive melodic elements over the stout bassline, Jos & Eli's remix dives the listener into the pure euphoric world of melodic techno sounds.

'Unsung' completes the package. Beautiful arpeggio work on the breakdown is well worked with the multiple sounds all over the track.

Finishing another record here, we are here to repeat the same thing we do: we will reveal more music, as long as there is no boundaries to set, as always.

Sometimes it s a nice diversion to listen all the sent demos while doing the dishes or cleaning up the mess. It is often 1 out of 100 pearls which is worth to find. So we found the british guy Ryan McCormack. Checking his music makes sure: this artist isn t really a newbie! His productions are on a high level and that s the reason it was easy for him to join the JEAHMON! crew. According to this deep and dark Original track we invited family artist Radeckt ("Point Of No Return") to put his fingers on the track in addition to Stil Vor Talents fast rising artist Several Definitions who had so much fun working on the Original that he finally delivered two versions of his remix. Bass for everyone!

Tronic labels' head honcho, Christian Smith, returns to Tronic for his first single of the year. Fresh after his recent hit on Drumcode's A-Sides, he delivered two tracks that resemble his production style and music plays in his sets. 'Phazon' named after the famous sound system of the legendary New York club, Twilo, focuses on one main melody and forward driving energy. 'I called this track Phazon, because while I was producing it I incorporated an old school style melody and imagined how amazing it would have sounded on the insane Phazon system at Twilo in NYC. 'Hallucinate' is another adrenaline bomb, using analog rave sirens and a hypnotic female voice. This EP has been tested at many gigs before the global lockdown to great reactions.

I'm a really big techno enthusiast. The playlists I created would have art(tracks) that have been hand-picked, loved, and saved into playlists. These playlist won't be like any of the other Soundclouders playlists, where they would just throw anything into a playlist. If the playlist name has Dance in it, you'll sure find fun tracks to grooooooove to. If it's Deep house, you'll sure find the dopest deep house tracks and so forth.

P.S I really need to edit my playlists, I was high when I created them and now that I have listened and put them on shuffle, I find tracks that does not even belong in there but these playlist still stay true to being the best hand picked "art". I'll edit when I have time.
