MM Cast 02: COYOTE

Is it Balearic? Recordings' capos Timm Sure and Ampo have been on the "Balearic Scene" even before the word "Balearic" got fashionable some years ago.  They started as djs in the early 90's becoming residents at the historical "Venus" in Nottingham, it was in 2002 when they became producers and from then on they started producing tracks under the moniker Coyote, being responsable of notorious works signed on "International Feel", "Needwant" and "Music for Dreams" to name a few, and of course on their own imprint "Is It Balearic? Recordings"

Was in 2006 when "IIB?" started and since then, and a long with the sublabels "Über" and "Magic Wand", 15 years of pure Balearic Bliss where the "brithish-downtempo-maestros" have featured artists from the likes of Max Essa, Danielle Baldelli, Dj Rocca, Bonnie & Klein, Mori Ra and Anton Klint to name a few.

2021 has been a very prolific year for Coyote, delivering an amazing EP "Return to life" and another remixes ep of their LP "Buzzard Country", both records on "Is It Balearic? Recordings". They also have been working for MM Discos doing a magical rework of Bonnie & Klein's Albatros

The contribution of the Nottingham based producers to the scene is unquestionable and crucial, being a constant influence for dj's and producers who decided to move forward with the sound that artists like Dj Alfredo, Paul Oakenfold or Jose Padilla discovered back in the days from the "white Island" to rest of the world.

When we talk about their sound, a question comes to our head,,"Is it Balearic?", of course it is, but more than this, this is COYOTE Sound!!

Diggin’ the crates for obscure 80’s speedy rap house with kickin’ 808’s, leftfield Canadian new wave, Italian library with a saucy twist, straight up BMORE club, Carib flavourings, and wasted 80’s Bollywood which has never sounded so fucking boss! #mrpatelbossman 
 
Huge props to the lads for going deep and bringing us this fresh new mega rarez mix at an exceptionally high calibre. Uptempo for the late nighters with loadsa mint drum sequencing, plus, additional jingles & delay unit added for good measure. Another mint addition to our series and hopefully getting plays for years to come!

Head honcho of Mothball records, a walking Discography, and a relentless digger of Italo rarities. George's sets at Waxflower have been pure listening pleasure, week-in week-out. Italo, Synth-pop, Synthwave, New wave and a few arm waves, his breadth of knowledge and love for those genres is a joy to hear.
