Cakewalk DAW processing:
- Gain on buses, for mixing.
- EQ on final bus: High pass, low pass, small bump at 3kHz.
No compression, etc.

**Surge Storm** is an exploration of sound design in physical instruments and sounds. These are all my own patches, some of which are included in Surge. Most of the physical instruments here mimic generation and body resonances researched from real instruments, driven by controllers for mechanical setup and playing actions. This gives me a dynamic instrument that responds in a variety of articulations and styles, without needing samples.

Here, I've used a few time signatures. It has a wide dynamic range and frequency coverage, so you'll get the most from ideal listening conditions. Unfortunately, the thunder sound has lost a lot of its character here in the lo-fi Soundcloud playback. The download will give you the best experience.

Started by recreating the "Sub Phatty Girth" patch as close as I could in a short time. It's close, but not there yet.

Then, walked through every patch. Playing blows, but the point is to hear the patches and let them speak for themselves.
