It's All Fleeting was inspired by the changing of seasons where I live, from fall to winter. Winter is often times the hardest season for me, since here in Alaska, winters are cold, dark, and seem to last forever. This can lead to seasonal depression. Since I'm inside a lot more, this leads to a lot of introspection, which can lend itself to more time spent writing music, and putting thoughts to words and sound. As it shifts into winter, and all life outside seems to wither and come to a halt, I sometimes think about my own mortality, and how quickly life passes by. This was my mindset when I began creating this song. 

This is my first song I've written and recorded in its entirety with my basic home studio gear. I'm still new to this, but having a great time with it! Like many songwriters/home producers, I'm really great at creating partial songs, that end up being lost ideas in folders on a hard drive - it looks like this one finally was able to escape that cycle and see the light of day! All parts of the song are composed and recorded by me. Thank you for listening!

Hi! I'm a solo artist writing tunes in my rudimentary home studio, in Wasilla, Alaska! I'm just trying to take my inner turmoil and create auditory art with it, whenever inspiration strikes. I don't consider myself to be stuck with any particular genre – for me, it's not about genre. The most important thing is expressing myself. 

Music is like my journal – I take whatever thoughts and emotions are  bouncing around inside my brain, see where they lead me. Whatever comes out, comes out.
