Holly Blue are a music band founded in 2011 by 17-year-old vocalist Sonia Kopeć and musician and producer Emil Blant, best-known for his collaboration with Gutierez and The Marians bands. Their debut album First Flight was released by Falami record label in 2012.
 
First Flight consists of nine songs composed by Holly Blue, two remixes and a cover of The Connells’ hit 74’ 75’ in a new surprising music arrangement. The lyrics on the album are in English. The genre of Holly Blue’s music, with its unique atmosphere created by Sonia’s soft voice and the original musical arrangements, is sometimes referred to as intelligent pop. The first limited version of the album featured an original graphic design that was inspired by the name of the band (Holly Blue is a beautiful butterfly). The CD case resembles a glass butterfly case, with a magnifying glass attached so that you can read the lyrics written in fine print and enlarge a small butterfly and the photographs of the singer.
 
In the winter of 2012 Holly Blue were an official support band that played before Selah Sue on the Belgian pop star’s tour in Poland. They also performed before prominent Polish artists such as Myslovitz, Ania Dąbrowska and were invited for interviews on multiple TV (e.g. Dzień Dobry TVN) and radio shows.
 
In 2013 the band performed on Sopot TopTrendy festival, toured Poland and accompanied Patrycja Markowska on her concerts in the UK.
 
Currently Holly Blue are working on a new album. They have already released two promotional video clips to songs Another Love Affair and Comfort Zone.
