Holly has been creating waves in the underground minimal scene over the past few years. She has played alongside the likes of Spokenn, Cosmjn and Voigtmann across UK cities including, London, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and also overseas in Ibiza.

Our twelfth instalment on the series comes from Leed’s based DJ, Holly Why.

Holly’s minimal and hybrid sound has been growing in the underground scene over the past few years and has evolved into a stripped back, up-tempo flavour. 

She’s played across the UK and Europe alongside the likes of Cosmjn, Spokenn, Lauren Lo Sung and Voigtmann.

Holly presents us with a podcast just under 2 hours long and is a welcomed edition to the series :)

For our next 60 minute, it's none other than the toon lass herself... Holly Why! "Why-aye's" aside and all that - we first crossed paths with her at Gottwood earlier this Summer. Many an interchange was had about similar tastes in records and a true understanding for the art of creating journeys in sets when you're playing one record after another.

And it's clear that wasn't just all fezzie talk... this hour long excursion takes you through the dulcet tones of well pieced together minimal numbers, before smoothly taking you into something all together completely & beautifully different. And as we've said before - to be able to do something like this so smoothly is no small feat. This is pure class.

Holly has played at major events including Boiler Room, Telum, and Rukus, and she is also a resident DJ at Minimalism London.
