I went to see Glenn Campbell on his farewell Tour (He suffers from Alzheimers)and I remember watching him sing on the telly when I was young - I have always loved his voice... the night was so emotional, seeing him needing to use an auto-cue for the new songs and slipping up here and there - but then he sang 'The Moon's a Harsh Mistress' and for 3 minutes there was a perfection which is mostly impossible to achieve as an artist - an old song he'd sung many times and the familiarity held him through; it was one of the best 3 minutes I've experienced listening to someone sing... I wanted to pay some sort of homage to the man, so I recorded this... it could never be anything like Glenn singing it - so I made it my own, sang with emotion, and hoped for the best.... and hope you like it. Holly x
