On the A-side is ‘Hey Boy’ by Italian producer/DJ Giuseppe Fimiani aka BPlan, a dirty lowdown that perfectly completes the vibe of the A-side. BPlan’s skills in bringing a unique take to a familiar riff is nothing short of genius. The perfectly pitched bass, filtered chord progression and mid-tempo beat lead us on a journey drenched in summer juices which, when combined with the vocal samples force you to stay in the moment and stop runnin’ with those Joneses. A sublime slice of a summer long past served up by one of the brains behind Caffè Corretto Edits, this is Daje Funk at its very best.

Disco house from the sultry n' sophisticated side is the order of the day on this latest salvo from the Slightly Transformed camp. In its Original form, 'Burnin' Up' goes straight for the jugular - think peaktime at Glitterbox, though the sheer quality of the vocal and the deceptively complex funk bassline ensure it stays well clear of the cheese board. Jean Jacques Smoothie opts for a slightly deeper, chunkier feel but the standout for yours truly is the stripped-back Monsieur Van Pratt Redub, wherein the pianos get a chance to really shine, while a radio edit completes the package.

After some superb work on labels such as Yuksek’s Party Fine and the awesome Too Slow To Disco, Parisian producer and reworked Vibes4YourSoul brings his signature brooding sound to Fingerman’s Hot Digits Music imprint. For fans of his crisp takes on world music and latin influenced grooves you will not be disappointed as we open the EP with “Dihya” an Arabian disco groover with peaks and good time vibes galore that will lift any dancefloor.  “Vamos A Gozar” is a latin slo-mo summer funker flecked with some warm acid touches here and there for easy doors and bar sets before its full on carnival time with “My Name Is Samba”, another masterclass in V4YS’s expert reworking prowess. The head to world music boogie vibes for the final track “Tentami” a mid tempo horn driven groover before label honcho Fingerman extends the lead track “Dihya” with his re-edit, taking the finest elements of the track and building on them.
A wonderful selection of tracks from one of the undergrounds most respected slo-mo producers on the scene.
