Last weekend we spent a magical 4 days in the desert north of LA with some beautiful humans coming together after far too long apart.

This set was the first of the weekend at the outdoor pool deck area (yes there was a pool!) and I'm pretty happy with the way the musical journey evolved over the course of 20 different records in just over 90 mins.

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of stringing together 90 minutes of dreamy tunes for some new and old friends.

As we danced 38 Stories above New York City, the breezes off of the Hudson River made it increasingly apparent that summer is drawing to a close. 

So, wherever you are, be sure to make the most of your ability to dance under the stars while it's still warm out.  

I hope this snapshot of where my head is at right now helps!

Live at The Zoo '21

After a "bomb cyclone" of a winter storm hit New York on January 28/29th, I was thrilled to get the call from @lovecraftofficial to join him to play the brand new Nebula Club on a Saturday night in Manhattan.

Despite the city having received between 8-11 inches of snow, the club was rammed, and its state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems created a seductively warm vibe to counter to the frigid temperatures outside.

These factors led to my playing a much more "club" set than I usually am known to put together.

So please have a listen.  This set should be good for getting any night, workout, or to-do list entirely off and running!

Here are the last 80 minutes of a special birthday set I played on February 3rd at Gospël's Tribe Room in New York City.

It's a bunch of peak-time action with a smooth disco finish.

After our fifth unforgettable @nonsensecollective it was a pleasure to bring our merry band of revelers over to @sommosoundscapes for a fantastic night of fresh, delicious sushi and mouthwatering cocktails and mezcal.

The restaurant’s architecture and layout create a seductive ambiance, and I was happy to contribute (what I think was) a laid-back and sexy vibe on the dancefloor, which grew throughout the evening.  

This mix evolves from 79 BPM to finish with some classic rock edits at 108 BPM.

I rarely get to put together something like this in such a beautiful setting, so I hope you enjoy listening as much as we all did that night!

Dance With Me Las Vegas at Transfix Friday May 12, 2023

As torrential rain made it clear we wouldn’t get to dance outside beside the creek on Saturday afternoon, it reminded me that sometimes, when we make plans, god laughs.

Luckily, there was a backup plan for us all to turn the cabin’s basement into a sweat lodge of good times.

Holosound's Still Dusty ADE 2017 Mix

Warming up for yourself is probably one of my favorite things to do, and the increasing amount of "Open to Close" sets you're seeing DJs play these days is a testament to that.

It was a real pleasure playing such an intimate room of friends and family in the midst of one of the coldest winters I can recall.

At around 47 minutes you'll notice an obvious slow down when someone came into the booth while I was in the bathroom and dropped things from 119 to 115 but we get back to the program a minute later.

On this night I started things pretty laid back and tried to bring things up gradually, throwing in a bunch of new records that have caught my ear over the last few weeks.

Summer's Comin' 2012

Summer 2018 kicked off with an exciting trip to Ibiza for IMS and Openings before heading to Moscow for an electric 1st week of the World Cup.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some new music but I’m very pleased to share something that explores more than a few sides of my musical personality… 21 tracks worth to be exact!

We start off a bit mellow, get tripped out and banging and, as always, a little weird.  Along the way some haunting melodies, hooky vocals and rolling basslines combine to create a pretty accurate showcase of what’s doing the business for me this summer.

This mix is equally comfortable at a pregame or afterparty and will just as easily help you at work to get 105 minutes closer to the weekend.

Midsummer Magic 2018

I couldn't think of a smoother way to finish 72 absolutely bananas hours in Moscow than with this special unannounced event myself, Lovecraft, Christian Voldstad along with a very special B2B from Holmar and Birds of Mind.

I opened the party from 11:20pm~1am and dug deep to play some of my slowest and sexiest music I often don't get to share when I'm traveling for a more peak time set.

2019 is necessarily going to result in some new beginnings in my life and hopefully some positive changes and evolutions for us all.

Since opening in March, the Paradise Club has elevated the clubbing experience within New York City in a very short period of time.  Their attention to detail, from the performers to the service to the lighting to the artwork and beastly sound system, is hard to overstate.  

That’s why it was a pleasure to warm up this room from scratch this past Friday night for the Mirage Garage camp fundraiser .

I kick things off at 114 and work up to about 118bpm.  The music has a bit of an eerie desert feel that I’m finding very sexy these days without (hopefully) feeling too much like something that’s been done to death in the desert over the last few years.

Summer is here in New York City and the party scene seems to be stronger than ever.  Over the last couple weeks I’ve had the pleasure of playing Soundchk’s amazing Public Arts Wednesday (yes Wednesday somehow it’s AMAZING), the Love Medicine Boat, a barn in upstate New York and sunset at the top of 50 Bowery at The Crowne which has some of the most breathtaking views of Manhattan I’ve seen in a while.

It’s my pleasure to share this new musical journey with you all today.

This is 2+ hours of music that meanders through some heady slower and deeper selections into some slightly more energetic but still dreamy vibes.

While my wife and I are avid burners, we didn’t have the chance to join everyone this year…luckily social media captured way too much of it 🤦‍♂️

Instead, I recorded this mix sitting at a picnic table looking out at a lush, green valley in Vermont, while friends sat beside a roaring fire and kindly refreshed my glass of Mescal often…probably one of the most comfortable environments I’ve had the pleasure of playing.

As usual, I expect this to be just as helpful in getting through an afternoon at work as a warm up for a night out or afterhours soundtrack.

“This Ain’t Forever” took nearly as long to create.  

Quarantine life has been a tremendous shift for us all. 

The persistent nag of uncertainty has become the drumbeat of our current existence. 

I’ve gotten through it with the help of way too much day job, a TON of great mixes on Soundcloud and a bunch of shenanigan fueled Zooms with my wife and friends.

Along the way, I picked up a Pioneer XDJ-RX2 all-in-one unit that’s given me the ability to mix live at the apartment for the first time in at least half a decade.

What I hope you’ll hear is a heady exploration of energy and wistfulness that I think represents the way in which I’m doing my best to look at our future together.

The world is healing.  It’s up to us to follow its lead.

Holosound At Le Bain March 8

It's not especially easy to get to Moscow as an American but the great team at Vanilla Ninja came through in proper form to make this one of my best gigs and trips in recent memory.  

The city really comes alive in the summer with the beautiful parks, women and musically up for it crowd.  I highly recommend visiting this spot if you're in this wonderful city (but only if you have cool people who speak good english and are kind enough to show you around!)

This was me playing about as "peak" time as I get...at a whopping 122 BPMs a minute.

Holosound at Vanilla Ninja Moscow 2013

This is a mix I made after far too long away from the decks.  

I now have a career that’s drawing me in, a little further away from the music that makes my heart sing.

But this is something that helped me feel connected to the music once again.   I played this only in my headphones, in the rain, under the canopy of a house my mom’s husband purchased and intended to live in for decades before he died suddenly. 

COVID has brought untold pain and loss to the world, and it’s up to us to try to (safely) bring it back to life!
