UK artist HOLT’s latest single, Distractions, combines disco beats and sultry vocals to create a deeply intimate, emotive release. Exploring themes of responsibility and disillusion, Distractions is the third single from HOLT’s upcoming album. The lead single The Storm - a banger balm for the soul as much as a call to the dancefloor – was followed by second single Safeguard, blending lush afrobeats with ethereal vocals for a uniquely soulful sound. 

HOLT is a London-based artist and multi-instrumentalist who crafts otherworldly tunes by blending her layered vocals with electronic beats and cinematic soundscapes. Picking up the piano, flute, guitar, and violin independently, her songwriting journey kick-started with a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder gifted on her seventh birthday. Her music draws from a diverse palette of influences: the artistry of Bjork, Bat for
Lashes, and Enya; the rhythms of Massive Attack and Nils Frahm; and the stark simplicity of Philip Glass and Max Richter.

Echoing the infectious electronic pop of artists like Roisin Murphy and Alison Goldfrapp, her first single of 2024 is The Storm. The sound is instant - direct yet intimate vocals supported by a robust bassline with 90s references. 

The Storm is the lead single from HOLT’s forthcoming album, set for release in 2024.
