Elias Sternin, co-founder of Ratiug Recordings alongside Artesano Titer, steps away from his own label to support something new. Shubs is the latest addition to an ever expanding family in the Latin American country of Uruguay. It wasn't long ago that fellow compadre Titer marked the launch of another label URU, from which we premiered. The pair are clearly doing their bit for the scene out there, pushing further forward the sound.

The first instalment on Shubs comes packed with five original tracks from Sternin. Human Thoughts combined With A Digital Computer - an unknowingly obvious statement that makes for a clever EP title. American artist and promoter Alain de Saracho has already made huge strides on his home turf of LA with the calibre of parties that has welcomed the likes of Politics of Dancing, Oshana, and Michelle. Of course, it wasn’t long before his brand Saturn Drive Records was born and with it a podcast series and label and this is where we pick up the story again after we premiered their first release back in 2020. They already began their imprinted story back at the tail end of 2020 with their debut release with original work from badman Christian Burkhardt and a remix from Parisian hotshot Politics of Dancing. There’s very few DJs and producers who are young but have the refinement of a twenty year deep music obsessive. Niall Kelly is just that. Be it on his productions or his DJ set his deft touch is ever apparent. 

Niall first pricked the ears up of the E-Numbers crew from his forward thinking night Curbside, which he runs with BP and Ryanair (how good is that DJ name). The crew’s efforts are steadily making manoeuvres and are now developing into a record label, where Niall and the crew can flex their production muscles. 

For the E-numbers mix series we’re delighted to showcase 1.5 hours of a brilliantly mixed bag of wax, that flows confidently through genre’s with ease.

Co-founder of Toi.Toi.Musik, head of Subsequent and a long serving fabric resident, Voigtmann has been a pillar of the London scene for the last decade with a far reaching reputation as one of the best tastemakers around. Set to make his debut at the inaugural edition of ION Festival next summer, Voigtmann delivers a taste of his coveted wax collection with a trip through cosmic slammers and sun-kissed breaks.

What a mix to bring us into double figures from Jonny Wren! We feel this series is gaining some serious momentum in quality and this is perfectly in keeping with this. Just over an hour of absolutely class cuts from Jonny mixed perfectly. 

One of them mixes that got us properly up for it when we first listened and we’re very thankful to the man for recording his first mix in 6 years for us. 

We miss the dance floor more and more every week, listening to tunes like this put together so well makes it a lot easier. 

On a side note, you should see the set up this was recorded on, it’s well naughty.
