Adam Beyer has produced an incredibly strong EP. The first track on the EP, Eye Contact, uses rhythmic vocal stabs to give it an infectious rhythm and groove. The second track, Raspberry Cave, uses a melodic synth-line and pad to create a dark, absorbing roller. On the digital release, another further two tracks have been added. Salvage Dub uses a funky bass line and rhythmic chords to full effect to gain the club’s attention. Cosa Mira, rounds of the EP by using percussion to construct an energetic rhythm with the help of some dreamy stabs to create a moody characteristic.

The second installment of re Interpretations form Slams latest, critically acclaimed album Reverse Proceed sees Soma look to yet more highly regarded Techno artists to provide their reimaginings of their favourite tracks from Reverse Proceed. Long time Soma collaborator Gary Beck makes a welcome return to the label alongside fellow Scottish upstarts Clouds and finally Dutch Techno wizard, Jeroen Search. Each brings their inimitable style to the project.

Gary Beck steps up first with his take on Catacoustics. His fiery brand of looped out Techno take the already tough Catacoustics into another realm. Gary comes out, all guns blazing using the original hook to great effect as it trips out over his ferocious kicks, thundering percussion and powerful dance floor groove.

Coming from the heart of Bosnia, Solomun is a passionate DJ who certainly knows how to please a crowd and keep the energy on the floor. Equally as talented and creative in the studio, he has many releases to his name on his own label Diynamic, as well as other imprints such as Four:Twenty, liebe*detail and Dessous recordings. Made for the dancefloor, his productions always have an element of funk or surprise, reminding people of the fun that's there to be had with music. As a label with many close ties to mobilee records, Diynamic will be co-hosting a party at mobilee's Sonar 2010 celebrations, which makes it even more fitting that this release brings the two forces more closely together.

Solomun's next big bang, being brought to you via Leena music, is a sure extension of his impeccable production skills and style, and is also one of the most unique releases you will here on the label so far. A-side 'Sisi' opens with a head-spinning explosion of notes and chords, being fired out like sparks in a continual loop. Then half way through the record, they dramatically stop, only to soon build up again and set the roller coaster off once more. B-side 'Talk To The Hand' is a bass-heavy and punchy track, that surprises you with euphoric piano chords in the second half, whilst B2 'Curesto' brings all of the elements together with piano chords, build-ups and some drama. Tronic labels' head honcho, Christian Smith, returns to Tronic for his first single of the year. Fresh after his recent hit on Drumcode's A-Sides, he delivered two tracks that resemble his production style and music plays in his sets. 'Phazon' named after the famous sound system of the legendary New York club, Twilo, focuses on one main melody and forward driving energy. 'I called this track Phazon, because while I was producing it I incorporated an old school style melody and imagined how amazing it would have sounded on the insane Phazon system at Twilo in NYC. 'Hallucinate' is another adrenaline bomb, using analog rave sirens and a hypnotic female voice. This EP has been tested at many gigs before the global lockdown to great reactions.
