Everything that happens in our homes matters.  The relationships that are based there and all the matters of the home affect everything about our everyday lives.  There are decisions to make, children to raise, and relationships to navigate. Eric and Gena admit that they have so often needed help and direction in navigating home and family life and how they’ve found that there are Biblical principles and a God-ordained plan that, if followed, will prove to bring productivity in all aspects of family life.

In this first episode, Eric and Gena introduce themselves and the HomeMatters podcast. They share their vision for this weekly podcast; why they feel the topics of marriage and family are so important; and how the Biblical principles shared in God’s Word are the answer for making sure the matters of your home matter in all of life.

HomeMatters Ep. 1 - Matters of the Home

Most of us have dreams, plans, and a vision of what marriage and family will be like. However, sometimes we find ourselves living beneath our dreams. Just a few years into the relationship, we may be disillusioned or disappointed at our place in life.  It’s important to examine our starting place—our foundation. We must find the truth of God’s Word as it relates to our marriage and family and we must get the starting place—-the foundation, right if we are going to build a home that is strong. 

God created marriage and He knows how it works best. We must acknowledge God and His desired involvement in our home and family. We don’t have to do family life alone! God gives instruction and He wants to be involved! He has much to say about how marriage and relationships work. In this time together, examine the scriptures with Eric and Gena as they lead you in seeing what God has to say about building your home and about the importance of your home's foundation.
