I was sick. It wasn't my fault. The blood, oozing out of her body... I can hear the screams echoing inside my mind as she drew her last breath. 

But it was good... 

I sought to satiate the very pit that was my stomach. Unbearable hunger... it was as though my very life depended on this act of savagery. 

Consume...

To consume others that wandered. 

To consume those that faltered. 

I had to consume... 

A faint glimmer of light burns in the distance as I hear the sounds of people dancing and drums beating. The sun beginning to rise... 

SYNOPSIS: 

A Native-American folk tale, the Wendigo is the transformation of a man into beast. The beast feasts on the carcasses of other humans, but, ever growing in size will never feel satiated. It's body grows, always faster and bigger than its rate of ingestion. Set in the African Congo, the Wendigo is pictured as one of the local tribesman against a Catholic missionary. This is actually a juxtaposition. 

When the Europeans colonized regions of Africa, they brought with them a religion to overcome the native people. This empire, having had overwhelming influence and power, changed many traditions. However, the ancient books were used as a means of confusion - leaving the natives to fend off in the darkness of indoctrination. What they did not realize was that the hunger that resided in the natives to be set free was greater than their will to succumb to their new masters. 

It became a platform for rebellion - one that would reveal the true Wendigo of humanity: religion and its cannibalistic nature to consume our lives for political and social gain.

SYNOPSIS:

Tyranny has oppressed billions of people through the ages. It has prevented progress and has stopped people from living long, fruitful lives for the sake of greed. Money and power have corrupted our governments in secretive backrooms for thousands of years, but in our modern world it can hide no longer. The masses have listened and the word is out: we are people, not sheep. We are dreamers and innovators, not slaves. We weep and pray, unify and rebel. This is our awakening - ushering a new age of enlightenment.

"Pan y circo" is a term used to describe an appeasement tactic, imposed on politically shallow audiences. It is a form of distraction to the real problem, like mainstream media today. If a populace is entertained and fed, they will not care to learn about the intricacies of the establishment. Such is the way of antiquated Roman emperors, and kings and queens.

With a gypsy, we see through the eyes of poverty in the most passionate and affectionate form of music: flamenco.

"The Balance of Power" is a piece rooted in feelings of angst, jealousy, and sibling rivalry. It is a feud of differences among likeness and similarities; a relationship between those siblings and a test of character. It's ambitious, progressive sound is set within the cultures of Eastern Asia and is a fortification of the word "power."

In the land of contrasts, Asia provides a wealth of languages and diversity. Witness a combination of Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Tuvan throat singing as you listen to the thunderous taiko drums of Japan. Like festivals of old, such huge drums were used to sing to the gods. In retrospect, it is fitting for such a bombastic score to describe to the majesty of dragons.

Konrad Duvall Cunningham never recovered from a heart condition and his life ended in tragedy. Visions of war from his deployment in Afghanistan and a home filled with pain, his condition grew worse. SYNOPSIS:

Death is the guarantee we all know and respect. For millennia, humanity has pondered on what lies beyond this world. Sightings of paranormal activity, superstitious traditions, and scientific discovery have all contributed to the question: is there an afterlife? The Sumerians, as well as many Mesopotamian countries, created our species' first written language. It was only fitting to imagine our descent into darkness with music inspired by those lands - for they were the first to describe it.

Written in Arabic, "Into the Pits of Oblivion & Unforgotten Kin" pays homage to a beloved friend: Kenneth Amadeus Batista. Through his death, Homerik imagined his experience into the depths - true to Kenny's undying love for Metal music. Rather than raging hellfire in usual Metal fashion, Kenny walks down a spiraling staircase of stone, unable to go back. It is a cold and perilous descent, and it signifies the fear of our own passings.
