The latest edition of Nina Mix is presented by Los Angeles-based DJ Bianca Lexis (@biancalexis). Over the past five years, Lexis’ NTS Radio show Panorama Heaven has solidified her as a selector’s selector and a must-see DJ. Her unique style frequently explores the realms of rare and elusive Italo disco, off-the-beaten-path house, and more recently, the late ’90s and early 2000s chillout and electronica.

Beyond her impeccable musical discernment, Lexis continues to uncover and champion new and forgotten musical treasures. Bianca's mix for Nina offers a distinctive blend of loungey, trip-hop-infused tracks—a sound both familiar and endlessly intriguing. In her own words, ‘a mix of '90s-heavy dream pop & downtempo :)’.

BIO
Violet Poison is the proto-EBM/Industrial side-project of Italian producer and dj, Francesco Baudazzi, previously known as Obtane, the techno project he shut down in 2012. 

Violet Poison is inspired by oldschool EBM and synth/wave music from the 80's. Baudazzi also runs different projects under various aliases, some focused on 80's thriller/horror soundtracks and some on US-oriented Italo-disco/freestyle. Baudazzi also is the label head for Veleno Viola that is also a podcast mix series

Boiling and brewing beneath the surface, the distant roars of underwater volcanic vents can be heard, their energy rising slowly. Microbial life begins to spiral upwards, its first signs detectable as faint movements in the depths. From these elusive sparks, energy builds, colliding and surging forward—a force that moves through the land, digging through the earth and shifting mountains along the way. Under the rhythmic strumming of solar dub-chords and the pulse of lunar drums, we traverse the passage of day and night. The progression unfolds seamlessly, as fluid and organic as the blending of sound, showcasing the expert vision and craftsmanship of MARRØN.

False Aralia gracing the Motion Cast with his first publicly available studio mix. Infectiously rhythmic, varied, primitive sounds from a person who’s been making some of my favorite music of the last decade. Those who spend the time connecting the dots between his various projects are in for a realll treat. This one feels like a subconscious (or maybe intentional?) selection of songs that highlight many of the lovable things about his productions, explored through the lens of music across a spectrum of time and moods.
