In Living Memory is Honeybabe's second LP and first proper studio album set to be released on May 10th 2019. It was recorded over the span of 2 years at Tempermill Studios in Ferndale, MI by Erik Maluchnik and Drew Bartosik at Reverse Release Studios. Produced by Erik Maluchnik and Honeybabe.

The record is permeated with the tragedy of losing a loved one and coping with the aftermath of that reality. Interwoven throughout this main theme are the search for meaning and the struggle with love and depression which are counterbalanced by a lighthearded nature of psychedelic playfulness and humor that portrays the bands general character in absence of the heavier aspects of life.

Honeybabe was able to channel feelings through these songs that might have been destructive if left unexpressed. In this way the music became therapy and a positive antidote to the darkness that encircles us even in our most joyful and carefree moments. The band would hope that listeners will be able to relate to the themes being expressed, find peace and meaning in the face of tragic and negative forces and most of all enjoy the music!

With a style that reaches back while also moving forward, Honeybabe is a five-piece psychrockjazzpunk band based in Detroit, MI. The band’s latest record "In Living Memory" was released on May 10th 2019.

Founded in 2013 inside a suburban basement of Metro Detroit, Honeybabe was formed by Michael La Bella(vocals/guitar/piano), Matthew McBrien (vocals/guitar), Austin Keith (drums), Drew Bartosik (vocals/guitar/piano) and Danny Despard (bass guitar). Inspirations for each member comes from a swelling spectrum of genres and musicians, hence establishing a genre like pyschrockjazzbeachpunk is not just a gag, but an approximate definition.
