The first instalment of the ‘Formulations’ series opens with an energetic track from Hospital Records’ latest signing, Hoax. ‘Spark It’ sees the Bristol-based young gun link up with PVC once again off the back of their low-end rumbler ‘Sekkle’ that came out on Anaïs’ Hospital Mixtape. Seriously weighty.
Next up is ‘Fighter’, a dynamic collaboration between Nu:Tone and Doktor, featuring extra vocal vibes from Gardna. The track merges Doktor's signature dancehall influences with Nu:Tone's crisp soulful production and the outcome is a beautiful infusion of sonic styles.
The first ever ‘Formulations’ EP concludes with a debut release from new-school Bristol talent, Artemis. Aptly named, ‘The Jungle Book’ the track is a heavy-hitting amen rumbler featuring the legendary MC Moose.
