Lisbon circuit regular Black Pomade is a DJ and producer originally from Milan (Italy) active since 2007.

Heavily influenced by the NY Disco scene and the Chicago originators, he's known for his melting-pot of analog synths, groovy basslines, soulful lyrics, and syncopated organic beats. When he's behind the decks, expect lots of House, Disco, Italo, and Funky records flowing through the speakers, filling the dancefloor with high energy and big smiles. His good vibes already brought him to play international gigs outside Portugal, in places like Vienna, Sofia, and his hometown, Milan.

2020 was a prolific year for Black Pomade in terms of releases. In April, he released the single "Marine," an Acid Italo Disco track in collaboration with the photographer Eric Bouvet and the art gallery MONO. In May, he was invited to give his touch to "Cages," from the Brooklyn-based band Sontag Shogun edit on Youngbloods, and "Cash Back," edit on Modmotif.

He's currently finishing his first physical release and working on the soundtrack of an improvisational dance performance to be held in July.

His sets range from rare 80s Italian edits to house gems from the 90s, a sound showcased in the best clubs around Europe, where he also shared the booth with artists like Barbara Boeing, Soundstream, Paula Tape, Session Victim, Massimiliano Pagliara, Kapote and many more.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (7th August) In Hour 2 it's German producer Tilman who runs the Klamauk record label, which released an album by previous guest Roman Rauch and his own Transmission EP in May. His forthcoming releases will be on Charmin Records and a split EP with Chocky on Ears Have Eyes. Mike Huckaby, Lowtec, Fouk and Moodymann all feature and he had this to say about his mix;
"I recorded this mix in my damn hot studio under the roof and been thinking about the early hours in a house club - when the magic is going to build up and the people slowly prepare for a great night. These records are my old and present all-time favorites: deep and danceable. Just some lovely music for every kind of situation. I am feeling very honoured for getting the chance to record a mix for solid steel."
