Next Honeybee on the decks is the deadly Mav. 

Mav is a Dublin - based DJ and electronic music player who brings live bits into her DJ sets. Techno and tech-house are her natural habitat. With killer sets for Dublin Modular, mixes for Gash Collective and gigs around Europe, we had to have her on board. 

Mav has prepared an obscure trip through beefy fat bass lines and dark atmospheres with an acid twist: strictly four-on-the-floor.

Traversing through themes of ethereality, Sound System Culture and World Music Traditions, Reflekta’s selections reflect her affinity for bass heavy, melodic and textured broken beat driven sounds, equipped for both gentle and heavy listening environments.

This mix goes on quite a journey from Middle Eastern sounds, amapiano, crispy crunchy Soundcloud pop edits, 1 random off key experimental ambient break down + lots and lots of bass music. Featuring music from Swimful, DJ GÄP, Gastah, Acid Arab, Polo Lilli, night bloom, bdstf, Sinjin Hawk and Sega Bodega.

Shanghai-born, Ireland-based artist, FORO4 brings an electrifying blend of old-school, industrial hard techno, electro, trance and breakbeat to the airwaves. Their sets are powerful dynamic and almost symphony-like journey, bringing the listeners on an imaginary journey. FORO4 is a rising star in the Irish electronic music scene with a notable headline set at DYKE NITE in Limerick, which was an 'Event Of The Year' nominee at the 2023 GALAS awards.

FORO4 loves to orchestrate their sets with elusive buildups, guiding the dance floor through enigmatic energies to euphoric high-frequency embraces. For this mix, they have unveiled a few of their cherished vinyl-ripped sound from the 90s and early 00s, fusing dreamy left-field trance, techno, and grooves of electro and house. Featuring amazing tunes from Lastrack, Osheyack, Cristian Varela, AADJA, MoMA Ready, T-funk, Hadone, and many more.

D'anu is a DJ from Galway playing jungle, breakbeats, footwork and bass. Over the last two years she has played at nights across Galway, and made several appearances at Evolution in Cork and Bow Lane and Wigwam in Dublin, as well as at EP and All Together Now festivals.

This mix is a fusion of bass music with a tribal feel, moving through melodic techno, broken beat, grime and experimental bass heavy sounds. Featuring music from Arkham Sound, Danny Scrilla, Pangaea, Flowdan, Borai and more.

Next Honeybee on the decks is Elö!

Elö has been music researcher & party enthusiast for over 15 years. She is from a suburb area of Curitiba, Brazil and is now based in Dublin. In 2018, she began her DJ career, developing two projects simultaneously. One totally focused in Psychedelic Trance and other on an open-format basis, where all ways of feeling are explored, mixing multicultural music styles, contemplating mostly Afro-Brazilian beats, house, disco and trance. 

In the last 2 years, In Ireland, she has been playing & supporting the Brazilian/Latin cultural movements: Cacao & Ecstatic Dance events,SoulNight, Tropicalista Galway, Cantito, Space__Mango, ArtMov, Epiphany, TRP.raveparties.  Currently, she is involved in the organisation of Crystal Queer Club (LGBTQI+ collective) and is member of the bateria group, Morro16 samba.

This mix is a blending of eclectic influences that transcend and fuse musical genres like house, Brazilian funk and trance. It represents a glimpse of the vibrant multicultural music production worldwide with a big Latin American touch.

8205-023 DJ SDR + DJ Trooper / Dopeski 

8205-023 sees longtime friends Adrian / DJ SDR (of SDR + Subsonic fame) and DJ Trooper combining forces with the mighty Dopeski.  “Bad Boy Sound” is a long lost upfront ragga jungle tune from 94-95. When SDR first reached out with it, I liked the tune a lot, but it sounded so familiar that I was convinced it had already been released (and hence wasn't appropriate for 8205).  After some investigation, it turned out "Bad Boy Sound" was only familiar because I had chanced upon the only other dubplate copy of it in existence in a secondhand collection around 10-15 years ago. Given that coincidence, it seemed a sign that we should try to get it out there for other people to hear, even though the DAT was lost decades ago. So here it is, restored lovingly off one of those two dubplates, extra crusty & undeniably banging tearout ragga amen business.


For a B side tune, we've enlisted the help of longtime jungle/dnb producer Dopeski.   Some of you may know Dopeski for his collaborations with Jakes on labels like Face Records and Wardance (serious darkness!), his solo work on IQ, or his DNB releases on his own label Chemical Warfare. With "No Time to Play", Dopeski brings something a bit different but undeniably wicked for 8205 - a raucous and bouncy 95 jump up track, full of with frantic and densely layered breaks.

8205-023 will be out Friday May 3rd at 12 noon UK time on the 8205 Bandcamp, vinyl only, limited to only 300 copies for sale. Available on clear and red splattered 10" vinyl, and extra limited standard black vinyl, with great picture sleeve art (as always) by Atelier Superplus.
