Grammy-recognized artist, Wes-tone, is a multi-genre artist who writes, records, produces, and performs his own music from his home studio.

Wes Honkomp has been writing and recording music since 2003 while he was in middle school. During these years and into high school, he and his friends played small venues around Minnesota in punk/rock/hardcore bands "The Outloud" and "Tanarchy and the Patriots". As the music scene became more hardcore, Wes lost interest and began spending more time writing his own material. His solo career became known as Wes-tone.  With humorous early hits such as "Facial hair", he was encouraged to continue the writing process.

Over the college years, writing and recording still remained an active hobby, but studio resources were limited. After graduating college in 2013, he worked summers as an organic farmer, and winters as an organic songwriter.

He has had success in the OurStage.com community, and in 2015, he was one of three winners of the Grammy Amplifier Contest. The Recording Academy and Hyundai sponsored his trip to the 2015 SXSW in Austin, Texas where he was announced as the winner and also performed on the Rolling Stone stage with Tove Lo, TV on the Radio, The Zombies, Best Coast, and others. They also sponsored the recording of his single, "Diamond in the Rough (feat. Danielle Diamond)," with Grammy-winning producer Ben Fowler (Eric Clapton, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, etc) at Oceanway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

On the side, he has written catalog music, performs and produces for Danielle Diamond, and writes and records his own tunes out of an increasingly sophisticated home studio.  Wes-tone primarily enjoys the craft of songwriting and producing in the studio, while rarely performing live.

In 2020 he compiled his best singles into "Volume 1: Drunk and Unemployed".  

In 2021, he honed the mixing aspect of music production and consequently reworked his Volume 1 and in 2022 completed Volume 2.
