Paul Bearer issued an "ultimatum" to The Undertaker when he refused to align with Bearer. His Ex-Manager began talking about how his long lost brother, Kane, was coming to the WWF to challenge The Phenom. Bearer accused The Undertaker of burning down the funeral parlor that killed Undertaker's family, except for Kane. The Undertaker refused his claims, and countered saying that Kane was a pyromaniac, saying that Kane was the one that started the fire and couldn't have possibly survived it. This statement would later turn out to be a fabrication, as The Undertaker would admit that he was in fact the true arson.
