Manchester star Oli Furness will soon be leaving his mark on Hot Creations sister label Emerald City with the irresistibly groovy ​Wanna Lie Down, featuring Chicago’s own Parris Mitchell on the ​remix. 

Oli’s output is characterized by dynamic range and rhythmic groove, and Wanna​ Lie Down is no exception. Raw, chugging beats, distinct vocals and subtle percussions create an undeniable swing that make you move. ​Oli Furness explains​ “the​ thing I like most about this track is when I hear it out, I’ve noticed it kinda washes a carefree vibe over the listeners, which is always a joy to see.” 

Oli’s ability to veer between genres with ease and style is reflected in the depth of his releases on labels like Hot Creations, VIVa Music, Nervous, Morris Audio, Skylax and his own labels Music Is Love and MIL. Upcoming projects are planned on the infamous Clone records, whilst receiving support from artists such as Ricardo Villalobos and Laurent Garnier through to modern artists like Patrick Topping and DJ Haus. 

Parris Mitchell helped to define the infamous Dance Mania imprint in Chicago, releasing exclusively on the label from 1994-1997. Learning his trade through heroes like Ron Hardy, he also recorded as Victor Romeo and Rhythm II Rhythm. Having released on the Berlin based Deep Moves, this next remix on Emerald City takes on delectable tribal tones with prominent hi-hats and bright musical keys.

New York talent David Berrie brings his unique house music vision to the Play It Say It label, rounding out their year in true style. Berrie started sneaking into New York clubs in his early teens and has been
deeply entrenched in the scene ever since. From hip hop to disco to techno, he brings a wide spectrum of sounds to his productions, which have come on HotCreations and Cuttin Headz before now, as well as Play It Say It. After a big residency at DC10 in Ibiza this summer, he now impresses once again on the production front. It is ‘Inhibition’ that opens up with a slick sci-fi groove and taught bass that is
perfectly bumping. It’s an occult atmosphere for late night dancing and the Twilight Mix is layered up with mind-melting cosmic synths that take it even deeper. ‘Cherry Bomb’ is another minimal house masterpiece, with slick drum rhythms and underlapping bass all making for a supple and succulent groove that gets you in a state of hypnosis. Last of all is the punchy ‘Buchabeats’ which has stylish jazz chords and garage percussion all run through with freaky vocal samples and trippy little effects. This fantastic final release brings Play It Say It’s 2019 to a close with typically.

Digging into some deeper cuts, we're happy to welcome hometown hero; Ofier to the label alongside crowd favorite Susio for their highly anticipated groove infected single "Inner Voice".

When we first heard this track, we were instantly hooked and knew it needed to find it's home with us. Packed with so much character and addicting percussive groove, it was a no brainer to support this record throughout the upcoming season. Even better that our man Ofier hopped on live guitar on this one adding that necessary charisma to give it this tune that extra flair.

On remix duties, we have the return of our #1 boys Biddy and Chafe who stepped up and delivered a perfect rework of "Inner Voice" turning up the drums and bassline to give it that extra UK flavor that we love. Safe to say the boys crushed this one big time, taking the best of the original and transforming it into an absolute club stomper.

This package will surely be a stand out gem in our catalog this Spring/Summer season. Enjoy <3
