'The Hotness' is a way of living life which deems no feat too great. It is one's drive to succeed and shine against all odds; one's self-awareness, self-knowing and one's own belief in self. 'The Hotness' lives within all of us, though often times expectations from others and from society stifle 'The Hotness', and in turn, stifle a person from living.

I was always told to follow that standard path; go to school, finish school, get a job. And I followed those blueprints drafted by others for a long time. Thankfully I was able to realize that there was never time to waste on other's expectations in the first place; it was now or never.

The idea for this entire EP is to reach out to the dreamers who are told not to dream. To connect with those who want nothing more than to chase that dream. To let as many dreamers as possible know that we all have 'The Hotness', and that no matter the challenges we face, it is never too late to make your own destiny.

'The Hotness' is a rare virus these days. Let it spread.

Hoody Time is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in Nelson, New Zealand. Hoody began in Cincinnati, USA holding DJ residencies at top clubs and providing midwest support on many national tours including support for twenty one pilots, Tory Lanez, Krewella, AWOLNATION, and many more.

After a few years of recording and performing in the US, Hoody took his career to New Zealand in 2017 completing 5 nation-wide tours to date including sets at numerous summer festivals (Bay Dreams, Mudtopia, MarchFest, Nelson City NYE) and notable performances with DJ Sliink, Savage, Mako Road, Jason Kerrison, Sid Diamond, Madchild & P-Money.

Hoody’s 2018 releases climbed the NZ iTunes charts (including a #1 debut with “Pucho” and a #3 with “Paris”), charted worldwide on Beatport (USA) and Clubtone (RUS) (“Now We Go Deep” reached #1 on both) and held placement on numerous Spotify playlists (Fresh Electronic, New Music Fridays).

Hoody pledged "ALL BANGERS, ALL 2019" and he certainly made good on that promise, landing releases on Spotify’s “The Drip” playlist as well as gaining continued support from Canadian mega-blog MONTREALITY and New Zealand’s biggest online publication, Stuff.

Hoody’s 2020 took a big creative upturn with the release of “Lost + Found”, a pop-punk influenced double-single, and the launch of a collaboration project with live-looping guitarist Bosho (reggae/psych/rock influence). The collaboration has seen tremendous success with “TRUTH”, the debut single and video clocking over 220,000 views across platforms and catching the attention of New Zealand Parliament and support from personalities like Tiki Taane and Dante Basco across New Zealand and the US. 

"MUSIC", the conceptual megalithic album from Hoody and Bo was released at the stroke of midnight Jan 1, 2021 along with the announcement of a 12-date headlining tour across New Zealand, seeing the pair selling out both Nelson region shows within weeks. The pair has since expressed plans to continue the tour across North America in 2022.

Bringing together old school and new wave hip hop, dance music and now heavy hitting rock stylings, Hoody is known for his energetic performances and his wide range of both lyric writing and vocal styles. Hoody Time has garnered support from hip hop legends like Talib Kweli and dance music greats such as Robin Schulz, Bingo Players & Dannic. With millions of streams across platforms and a constant schedule of releases and touring, Hoody Time is sure to leave a lasting impression on music.
