Hooked On Your Love

The song that started it all back in 2005. dj c@sper was spinning dance music at a local Springfield radio station on the weekends, when local singer-songwriter snakestress contacted him to remix a song of hers called "Halloween," an invitation which he immediately accepted. Through an interesting coincidence, he had just that morning read about an Irish band called the Garland Cult who were seeking submissions for a a Dead or Alive tribute album called "Rocket," and wished he knew a female singer. She recorded vocals the same night; he layered drum machine and synthesizer parts into Pro-Tools and mailed the CD off to Ireland. The resulting version of "Hooked on Love" didn't ultimately make the tribute, instead a band called Heaven Bent got that honor. However, a stripped-down version of this mix was offered as a bonus download through the band's website, marking the first official appearance of L@cquer in this dimension.
