As I am was written, composed, engineered and co-produced by Lesego Bryan Mohwase better known as Boyxen Hookboy, this song was wrote back in the year 2015, Boyxen Hookboy wrote lyrics only and recorded an acapella during this time, reasons for that is that he didn't have an instrumental or beat. Until two years later when he recieved a beat from a producer known as 100kidd, all thanks to him.
This song was recorded and completed at the year 2018 but Boyxen Hookboy had bigger plans for it, He wanted the song to be engineered by experts and professionals and was planning to include it on his highly anticipated EP titled April 21st which is set to be dropped later this year. But foremost the good news is he decided to drop the song despite all the plans he had because he feels like its holding him back. 
this song was inspired by a girl he used to be in love with.
